Game was nice. it felt like a spinoff, like "call of Battlefield"(characters with special abilities and looks). i have hundreds of hours in this game. it was hyped/release was bad/it got much better/it was fun to play for all the years. the soul of this game was not 100% battlefield. at the moment i accept that it was fun and good to play with a lot of content.

but they never polished important stuff to a certain degree (like 1942 weapons and vehicles, balancing,).

still much better than every call of duty =)))))))))))))

Battlefield 6 has problems. But it’s fun to play despite its problems. Seeing bf2042 now really puts it into perspective how shitty that game felt to play. I really tried to like it, I came back for every “big” update and change, some did improve the game but it was never enough to really change the core experience. I just hope they continue with what has been promised with community feedback etc. I’m hopeful but realistically, I don’t trust EA to properly let the game be what it should be. It’s MW19 all over again. I loved that game on release, the night maps, realism mode. Even warzone was really awesome at first. Unfortunately I think it will end up the same way. They see a taste of success and fuck it up through pure greed.

2042 feels more like a proper BF than BF6 for the simple reason that it actually has BATTLEFIELDS. BF6's biggest map is still pint-sized compared to earlier entries in the series. I don't know why they're limiting map size.

Ya I had more fun in 2042 as a game itself once they fixed most of the bad bugs from launch. 6 is loud and obnoxious with meaningless sound killing my ears as I desperately try to hear a cue that might help me play the game. Reinstalled 6 after a couple weeks played one round and felt worse than when I stopped playing... I dunno it has no hook or anything making it fun it feels like COD did when they introduced OEMM manipulated and not fun. Manipulated spawns/feels like manipulated hit reg we can call it netcode but also in every tdm I play there is one high ping of 100 and one low ping of like 10 give or take a few but its EVERY round. Then the rest of the players are around a 30. Why does EVERY round have that same combo though it tells me they are manipulating the matches using connections to have a window of time to do so. OEMM and why it feels gross.

Thanks this was fun to see. You know I played 2042 for a bit over 3000hrs. And I found my way to like it. But, I couldn’t conjure any desire within 5 mins of me completing the road to BF6 challenges… I was surprised how quick I went to uninstall it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. In a way it feels like an ex. We had some good times and it helped me through the pandemic. But, in the end, it was time to move on.

this games HYPE killed the actual game... i put 2900 hours on it... i mean thats pretty average. 3600 on BF4 was my peek. now with kids fam work ... i can only put 3 hours a day usually after midnight... when its me time :) but i enjoyed this game... just like EVERY other BF game since 08 it is the only game that i play lol ... I also want to ask you if you could let the Dice devs know that the AEK and XM8 LMG are glitched in 2042. The AEK needs to have its BCG Light Grip be put back into the game and the XM8 Underloaded magazine is broken and can’t be equipped. It would be a nice thing for us players on 2042 to be able to use those weapons as the devs wanted them to be.

2042 only had a resurgence in players from the road to bf6 challenges, that game is the worst pile of dogshit ever made in this franchise. Worst maps, worst balance, guns didn't even properly hit in the first few months. Stupid attachment system people try to pretend was innovative, when its not, just entirely fucking garbage top to bottom. Anyone who has positive things to say about this game shouldn't be listened to for their opinion on anything, we were supposed to get a prequel to 2142 and got an aimless joke of a dev team that lied to us about all of it. Fuck this game and anyone who worked on it.

Ever since I switched from PS5 to PC a few days ago I’ve been having a blast playing 2042 again. Being able to play it in 240fps instead of 60fps, being able to play it with mouse and keyboard instead of a controller… it’s just so good. I’ve liked 2042 since launch even though I could perfectly understand where the hate was coming from. But it’s always been a lot of fun for me personally.

2042 can rest in shiet. The game felt like BF4 but super heroe classes ruined it. They also sold the 128 player games short. They could have easily made better maps with more than 3 lanes. The other design issue is leaving in mechanics that allow players to glitch or cheese kills… however the priority to squad score and PTFO is better than in the current game. Part of the reason I think l BF suffers is because the devs do a bad job at explaining the game to its audience. They could put things in the game like vocal in game passive talking among the soldiers. If this than that. They trigger random small talk. “Enemies are clear!” — “push in” other player - “Roger, Push in!”. Mini map updates the tell player intel. Stuff like that would go along way. More passive cues visually l, audio, with UI. Idk what do you ladies and gents think?

While they sort of righted the sinking ship I'll never forgive EA/DICE for what the did/didn't do with Bad Company 2/BF3 in that game. Likely to be the closest we EVER see to remaster/rerelease of those respective games and they did NOTHING with them and made them just Portal stuff you had to host on your own. Never anything official on the main menu.

In my opinion as a Battlefield vet and after playing Battlefield 6 for 2 months, 2042 was actually better gameplay-wise. Which is a crazy thing to be saying.
The maps were better, I don't really like a single map in Battlefield 6. Gunplay was better and most importantly people actually played the objective and didn't care about K/D as much. I don't know why it changed so much.
