it is good to hear they are trying to make the game more interesting. But I cannot shake the feeling that gunplay still feel so cartoony no matter how many maps or weapons they add. I mean compared to how guns in COD feel, it is a sea of difference.

You made a good point Level it seems like DICE/EA do a season and than wait and see how it does before committing. As a business I understand but they have to realize that people actually like and want to play the game but it needs CONTENT to keep players playing. Only way I can see myself jumping back on is if we get at least 3 maps or a remake of a older map combined with new mapS (as in more than 1). But knowing DICE we will get 2 maps when they really need to do 3-4. With how MW3 seems to not being well received coming out strong in March with 4 maps would be HUGE. (but like I said it will be 2)

I bought the premium version of battlefield from bad company 2 to bf1 (skipped hardline). Bf1 was the last straw because mere months after a new map pack released i couldnt find any matches. Some of the best maps would be premium maps but who cares about them when they are dead in a few months? Dividing up the playerbase is the last thing bf needs.

The last time I played was like 3 months ago and I nearly find real players to play against. Rush was basically 1 v 1 with a bunch of boys ass enemies. Only real players were in the death match mode and was like just 5 or 6 humans per team. I am not sure if y should buy for my PC. Epic store have it on sale right now

Cap, the thing with Premium is it actually came with content. We got more with premium then any "free content". Nothing is free. It comes at a cost. They conditioned players to choose some skin theme or color over the actual in game map. IDK about others but I rather get 4 new maps, 6 to 8 new guns, 2 factions and a game mode > Blue gun skin and one new "specialist" every 6 months.

What if for each class we could unlock new helmets, plate carriers, gloves, boots etc and customize our soldiers? and if done right, fortnite style, it would be great for the playerbase while giving DICE the revenue stream they need

They can’t just do a straight remaster because so many mechanics have changed.
Even something as simple as the ability to mantle over cover or climb onto things would drastically change the flow of older maps being brought into 2042.

DICE has barely redeemed themselves, they are riding high on the popularity spike and trying to squeeze out what ever profit they can from 2042. The closest that DICE can redeemed themselves( not fully,don't for get how 2042 was for months) is to release the next title that stays to it roots and to not rush it out and if they try to continue implementing specialist like system its gonna be the end of DICE.

Looks like somebody missed the Christmas video with Ryan McArthur they released on Twitter... In that video they talked about Season 7 and showed 2 printed pages of landmarks, which makes the theory of more than 2 maps pretty unlikely (unless you got insider knowledge). Lately the only Battlefield content we get from you is talking about 1 tweet you've seen come by , then speculate for 5 minutes and filling the remainder up with how much they've improved. Getting a bit old and it's disappointing.

i wish massive devs like dice could finally get the fact that this was cool like 10 years ago. the whole concept is outdated af. ppl want realistic immersive shooters, which still, almost in 2k24, are predominantly being made by small independent enthusiasts. fck battlepasses and operators. bring back bf3 with bad company2 destructions and nextgen visuals. and hopefully there will be a hardcore mode again

Bf1 premium had a sweet spot where they had premium weekends, where people without it could play the premium maps if they were in a squad with someone with premium.
Dice have failed at live service, it takes them 12 months to get a game somewhere near to what it should be at release and plonking live service on top of it, is too much for them.

Imo the old maps should always have been made to be added in the Portal since launch and not into the main maps and I don't believe it is more than 2 maps and could be a miss information, can be 1 map too. I'll skip this BF because I don't trust on it anymore, I always have a weird feeling that if I buy it I'm buying something not completed yet and could be abandoned any time once the new BF is close to be announced.

We must remember that the foundation for BF2042 was gonna be a BR like(similar to Apex) and not a BF game so it makes sense to feel something is off. I really hope that DICE has been taking notes on how to make a BF game that the players wants and not a trend chasing messing wearing BF skin.

It’s too late to turn this ship around when it’s already run aground, Dice is desperate to keep this game on life support and they know it’s a complete failure. Remaster BF3 or 4 with some new content and it would be better than anything they could do to help 2042.
