One of the things that people forget in these cases is that anyone, whether it be a person or a big company can make accusations or big claims against another. Even when that happens, the person or company being accused is innocent until proven guilty.

Dark and Darker is already one of the greatest games I have ever played, even with all of it's little issues and quirks during the playtests.
Even if somehow Nexon is irrefutably correct with their allegations, I will still never forgive them for bullying the smaller guys who had a passion for a great idea.
They should have just let Ironmace be from the beginning, or better yet, lend a helping hand to those bold and creative enough to go through with something they themselves would not.

Fuck that, how about the 4th; this is an interesting and complex legal case that will likely set a precedent going forward that hasn't been set so clearly up to this point, and watching it from a neutral position is fascinating. I don't think there's ever been a case where ex-employees have so brazenly stepped on the toes of their previous employers in the face of copyright and employment contracts before.

So far nothing is sticking, which is great. The real test hasnt occurred yet though, so we need to see how the trade secrets claim pans out. It would not suprise me though if there was no basis to nexons trade secrets claims. But, if they are valid, ironmace shouldnt get away with it. Here's hoping its as bogus as the rest of nexon's claims.

Also, as for the stages of development, I worked at a company on a project that is now cancelled, and during Production we also worked on pre-prod stuff because we were late. What I mean is, there are guidelines and aren't set in stone.

I feel like this is a little bias, the evidence doesn't look good for Ironmace the whole time, not a Nexon fanboy. If they have both said the same amount of bad shit or bad text so far I'd still highly doubt the integrity of Ironmace because of how legit the court evidence is on both sides, Its a pissing contest and to me at this point and the game will die before the case is over.

While i would say that Nexon might have a Point the whole part of them semmingly dragging it out as much as they can as well as Stuff like them Claiming that Iron mace obviously has the Money to deal with it does make me side more towards Iron mace (not to mention the whole Innocent till Proven guilty)
And on top of that i prefer the Game being made by Ironmace (since i do have more Trust in them) as well as Iron mace being able to deliver a Playable version of the game even though Nexon has much more ressources and Worked on it far earlyer As well as Taking Assets anybody can use (if you buy them) as Examples of the Game being Partialy stollen macking me heavilie doubt that Nexon actualy is in the Right (And in addition its not like any of the Monster are Unusual for a Dungeon Based game)

The evidence you are pointing to are statements made in pre-trial, which isn’t proof btw. They are conjecture. @eee eee exactly! So you see the issue then. Take the skeleton asset chosen, if you search skeleton in the asset store, it's 8 pages in. So if you were working on a project at a company and left the company to make a similar game, why choose THAT asset? And repeat over and over and over and over. That is the core of Nexons complaint, and while I hope ironmace wins it doesn't mean I don't just blindly shill for them. There is a legitimate complaint and we will see what the court in Korea says about it
