Can you do this at 1080p? At 1440p the difference in a lot of processors is smaller due to the GPU taking on a heavier load at higher resolutions.
I feel like it is a common resolution people still use to this day. I use 1440p 240hz but I know it would still be a huge benefit to a lot of viewers.

I remember when I started watching your content I always appreciated the multiple resolution because it helped with referencing components of different tiers for my friends that played tarkov mainly. I play several games but I play with a 4080 and a 13900k so It's always hard to recommend stuff to them when they ask "well what do you use" and I'm like you don't always need that for tarkov. It doesn't help that a lot of our woes are because of severe lack of optimization.

Sure I can do that too. You know what happens when I do that though? People say "Well I play in 1440, so i don't care how they stack up in 1080." So, I make closed offline tests in all resolutions to compare hardware and then people complain "Well, this isn't online." So, no matter what I do, there will be someone who picks out a shortcoming of a particular benchmark (and no benchmark is without its limitations) and says "This isn't relevant to my situation". That can be done with any benchmark out there, literally. You can always pick out a variable that doesn't match or is uneven or whatever. And all I can say is take it for what it is, it's a bit of info, no benchmark is gonna give you an entire picture no matter what.
Given all that, since you asked nicely. Sure I can do a 1080 one

i actually returned my 14900K because I only bought it to overclock in my cryo setup. But, intel discontinued Cryo cooling support for 14th gen sadly.

Yo i love your benchmarks, arguably one of the best on YT. One question though, how much difference would the 7800x3d make compared to 5800x3d in Rust on 1440p? My father has a 3080 and 5800x3d in his pc but he has a 1080p monitor, and i've tried connecting my 1440p monitor and testing rust and as far as i remember i think 120 fps was avg and 3080 was almost maxing out. I'm supposed to upgrade my pc soon and should i go for 5800x3d for 1440p because spending more money on a 7800x3d would mean that i'd have less money for a gpu. Should i go for a used 3080 (tuf, gigabyte oc or something else) or pay around 100-150e more for an Asus Dual 4070?
Edit: Could you maybe do a benchmark of 4070 with 5800x3d at 1440p (preferably on a 300ish pop server)? I know you did a 4070 with a 7800x3d but im interested in how it would perform with a 5800x3d.

It may be just me, but the 5700 seems to run the game better (?) the first place you enter the 5700 seems to have 15 to 20 fps more

30, second wipe so far and I've only played solo, great game, deep learning curve, a second monitor is super helpful in the start when learning maps/ammo/quest etc
The maps and sound design is top notch, you won't find any other game with such immersive maps IMO.

yes, If you are okay with the massive learning curve, also it's not comparable to pubg at all, you will not have much fun for the first 50 hours unless youre running with friends, as a solo game its good but you have to know what you are doing to get the most out of it, I would recommend if you like a strong challenge, and watching lots of youtube tutorials.

hey man im planning to switch my cpu. i only play tarkov in wqhd right now as shooter game so what should i do ? i have rtx 4070ti and 5900x cpu. should i switch to 5700x3d or to 5800x3d. or should i completly switch to am5 but i think am5 will producte to 2026. then will come am6. im not sure right now and to build am5 seems to be very expensive new cpu new ram new motherboard. also i need to save money then to switch on am5 bcs im student. i was thinking to w8 until am6 but right now i want to play tarkov in good quality

If you drop an X3D in there, you'll see a big boost. All the vanilla Ryzen 5000s pretty much perform in the same ballpark in Tarkov.

Would a 7800x3d with 7800xt be that much better then a 5800x3d with 6700xt? The chip itself should be 10-15% better but the graphics card performance would be minimal? I am trying to decide if it is easier to just do a drop in on AM4 and spend 600 vs 1500 for a whole new system ... this is my first go at 1440p tarkov

a 7800X3D with 6700XT will be able to do 1440p in pretty high frames with FSR enabled. The 7800XT will hit those numbers in native 1440p. I'd say it looks maybe 90% as good for half the cost with the 6700XT in FSR vs a 7800XT native. Personally, I'd probably stick with a 6700XT for 1440 and put that towards getting a nicer monitor, which would make a much larger visual difference than native vs FSR.
As with all hardware, the more you go up, the less value you get. It just depends on your own preferences and budget. There's no objective "best" build. The best build is the one that fits you.

If it helps I moved from a 5800X3D to a 7800X3D in 1440P Tarkov and can immediately tell the difference. The 1% lows are so much better and overall FPS just makes the game feel smooth as butter.
