As a solo players whos not trying to hard-prog, this wipe actually feels great. I don't play the game at the same pace and for the same amount of hours as you or other streamers. For once, Tarkov is moving at a pace that I can somewhat keep up with and be competitive. I understand you guys are used to having the game a certain way and being able to play a certain way, but I don't think BSG's intentions were EVER to be running around COD style 1vXing. Being able to out-gear people in week 1 and go stomp a bunch of newbs with semi autos, 20 pen ammo, and lvl 2 armor.... I'm not saying you're wrong for wanting to play the game the way you want, but maybe you can see a different perspective. I personally like the grungy, grindy, and unforgiving nature of the game.

this is my third wipe as a solo , im not that great and not that bad , but tbh i enjoyed this wipe the most :D it was alot of pain i know , but for me it started good and my start was good , so i got myself 3 full junk boxes and i solved the stash thing , about the armor i used lvl 3 always .. this wipe made me try new guns and it went fine .. i hope they get rid of quests that annoys people like setup or atleast make another choice of paying money to skip it ..

Booted up Tark for the 1st time this wipe (life was busy, didn't have time to play) to play with a friend. We did 3 raids on Ground Zero to get my starter tasks done, ran into a cheater each raid. I'm not going to be playing much of this wipe I think.

BSG's idea of difficulty is to just turn the fucking grind up x100. I'll never understand it, and I love grinding don't get me wrong, but arbitrarily limiting shit under the guise of "hardcore" is just terrible. in every way.

I loved Pest’s video on it. The lack of loot SUCKS the life out of this game. The loot buff last week made the game SO MUCH better. This wipe still sucks and I agree with everything you said. This game used to feel so satisfying. They need to get back to that.

I recently got into the game, and man, this problem with the hideout is stupid. Like, why do I have to keep 20 parts to level up my hideout that take up all my space in my stash? And if I don’t have the other parts to complete the hideout, I have to wait to find them? Like, bruh.

Its the second wipe im palying and i only have a couple 100 hours, while being not that good at the game. I know my opinion maybe doesnt reach out to the players who have more experience, but for me i would 100% agree on everything Gen said in the video. Its so hard to atchieve something if your not constantly winning fights. I am not able to ensure enything, like everybody but its so much harder for me to optain the loot i lost in a single raid than for a "good player" whos just better than the average. Last raid it was hard to get some stuff for my hideout cause it had ro be found in raid. Now thats no problem at all, but i cant by a "good" scope with my traiders being lv1 or 2 making my runs even harder at some point. Like Gen said, im just playing to improve, but it feels nearly impossible to improve on fights, mapunderstanding and the game overall, which is sad, cause i feel like tarkov is such a unique and cool game.

Honestly, tarkov should be an extraction shooter with an emphasis on actual skill. Two players will similar kits, same beefy high pen ammo, and whatever gun they want can still fight each other with the difference being skill level. Extraction shooters are inherently TDM and the bigger emphasis on survival for hardcore wipe when the maps don't allow for an extremely passive play style to actually survive without fighting means you'll be a hobo fighting other hobos or a no life sweat with m995.

I Def quit because of a mix of cheaters, keys being inaccessible, and a few buggy raids that cost me a lot. Had my pmc get stuck and fall through the world and die with a sledgehammer.
If they strictly got some riot lvl anticheat I would come back to pvp. Otherwise 1.0 is gonna be a mess

I do like some of the changes but it is in no way a "hardcore" wipe. Dont care about the hideout by any means so the hideout changes didnt bother me. Hated the flea as it took away proper progression and traders eventually become useless so the no flea market thing was good. Boss spawn increase is nice. Map access via transit is interesting but its tough. XP shifted towards survival is nice imo. Secure container restrictions was no bueno. Price changes on healing, repairing and insurance was dumb af.

Tarkov is a terrible place to be at, you'll have to scavenge every little piece of gear and kit you can acquire because you don't have fat checks rolling in from your PMC groups because command left you to die in Tarkov. It's realistic that everything would be way way harder to play the game and any eotech is worth its weight in gold now. But this doesn't make for a fun game at all. Higher tier kits is not something a sweat will get on day one of wipe no, now they'll get it day 3 of wipe instead. While timmies will still get nothing and even less than before.

the main reason i quit brining out good gear as much is because cheaters can see what you are wearing and they just run straight to you for a gear upgrade, ive already had that happen a few times when i bring out level 6 plates and a really good gun i finally got all the parts for lmao. i just end up hoarding it till i have a few sets so i can run them back to back.

I think hardcore is incomplete and bad ideas to bridge the gaps. New implementations of in raid solutions to by pass looking for loot would make it a lot better. Like a in raid trader that sells the things you need for hideout would be nice. For me its just raid dump and repeat all day. If my quest is nearby then I would do it if I get that far into the raid.

There will be more content definitely but those additional tasks etc.. will speed up leveling and moneymaking. Seems like 1.0 is going to have no flea, which requires additional tweaks to limit progression but not fully halt it.
2. When they revert a lot of this stuff for the 1.0 wipe a lot of people will have the “we’re so back” mentality because a lot of arbitrary changes made in the hardcore wipe will be removed or greatly changed. If BSG ever wanted a high player count it’s going to be during 1.0.

This wipe drives an even bigger wedge between the good (high skill) players and the average (low skill) players who play casually - now, without insurance, pvp’s consequences are extremely high - and without flee market, they’re even higher, not only will you lose your kit without a chance to get it back, but you can’t even buy it back on the flea market. The low skill players are basically just encouraged to not play the game, or to switch to PVE. I usually enjoy PVP tarkov even though I very often lose gunfights, but with these crazy changes, losing a gunfight often means you have to grind for hours to get that kit back. The average skill players that lose 50% of the time will just stop playing or switch to PVE rather than go through the pointless grind over and over. Now, since these players left, the only players in any lobby are mega sweat 8.0 kd demons and an average player or someone late to wipe basically has no chance in that environment, so these players quit as well.

This is my first time playing tarkov I always wanted to play it, now that my pc runs it I both the cheapest version of the game and all I encountered are 10k hours players but I still have a bit of fun, can’t wait for a normal wipe lol

me and my boy remember the dec/2023 wipe like it was yesterday. man the new recoil was so much better than what we had before, you could actually say the game was looking like it was going in the right direction which was towards accessibility and fixing broken nonsensical mechanics/features. as of now, we can only hope this was some sort of coked out dream of the head devs and that it'll be forgotten about.

1- Transitions: Instead of waiting next to a fictional driver, you should have to provide cover for a scav npc that gets the vehicle ready. (like changing a tire or checking the oil) it would look cool af and provide an element of urgency because of other players shot the transition scav then you cant transition.
2- Player count per map. If everyone is bringing in much less firepower, then increase the number of PMC spawns per map.
3- Ammo. Getting good ammo/mags is impossible, there needs to be in raid traders more than just lightkeeper that you can communicate with. you should be able to barter with the APC driver like a trader.
4- Medicine- Make it more abundant. Simply make medcrate airdrops more frequent
5- Posters- be able to plant posters and set "booby traps"... what is the point of posters if you cant plant them in tactical locations??
6- Compass- used to be a live action functional compass but now the animation is broken, they need to add binoculars too
7- Wrist Watches/Gloves- Need to add custom drip so the developers can make money on microtransactions instead of the modding community buying repeat bsg accounts

Also, your argument makes no sense when they locked trader lvls to prevent running into baddies? whatever that means, seems like you want unfair fights with no reward. Not to mention 100% bosses in the beginning with Tagilla, that people farmed for T5 face shields and T6 plate armor before even getting close to lvl15? I just started playing this game last wipe had a lot of fun and got pretty far into the task lines. I was excited to start a new wipe since I really just started getting the hang of everything. Played a couple Weeks of hardcore hated it and decided I'd run pve for map knowledge and learn some more tasks until they change it back. No insurance is painful, reduced selling costs but increasing average cost to buy made no sense especially with removing the flea market

I don't know why they don't just let the items be added towards the upgrade so they wont be in your stash. You shouldn't have to have all the items for upgrades at once. The items should add to the upgrade as you get them. For example if you have a upgrade that need 3 nails and one toolbox and you have the 3 nails you can apply the nails toward the upgrade and they get used.

as a 2500 hour player id say this wipe is as you said very annoying. for me ive had way more fun AND success running a semi auto akm naked than i have going in with high tier gear. im no stranger to being dead broke in this game so i pretty much built my playstyle around being broke and needing to either find, kill for, or unlock the good stuff. this wipe just made that 300000X more difficult to do. i havent been playing much recently due to going in to single player game retirement for a bit but when i hop on i often play like a chad with timmy gear just so i can have a chance at balancing gain/loss ratio while still progressing.

I get to play between 8 and 12 raids per week. I like that i don't run into level 5+ plates, face masked chads everytime i see a player.

Most changes were ok but badly implemented. Without the transit bullshit, and the item sell value nerf, I think it would have been amazing and way more challenging than previous wipes, without the tedious part.

I chose not to even play a single raid this wipe. I didnt even made my character because I knew this wipe would be utter dogshit.. Sad to see my intuition was right.
Edit: 7:50 the stash "problem" is theire way trying to "force" people to buy stash space or upgrade their versions of the game, 100%.. BSG is getting greedy..
With my standard edition im very glad I didnt waste a second this wipe.

game was most fun before the first FiR changes a bunch of years ago. even though there were many bugs. after that my interest slowly started waning with each new change and the realization of where this game is going
