I love Marcus! He was truly a pillar in the creation of the Halo universe and he should always be praised along with the other original Bungie employees which made Halo an icon in the 2000’s.
But 343’s track record… you can see Joe Staten had a huge impact to Halo Infinite and turned it around and they actually released the game. But look at Joe in the 343 ViDOC’s…. He looked mentally drained beyond belief. Compare him in the ViDOC’s decades ago with Bungie, he was full of life and energy. Every 343 video and interview he looked more and more over it as time went on. Completely dissatisfied telling the community delay after delay and removal of features.

We um said this same thing about Joe... why are we fixated on a gone by era. Halo will not be the same as we have seen in the past. Yeah, sure, art direction and story will get better and have gotten better. Even the multiplayer is holding up. The issue we are having is the shops, battle passes, and this Mobile game plan every big game makers have adopted. Literally, we had Joe take the literal wheel of the ship, and things are still gummed up. Honestly, what the next Halo needs is TLC, and to be complete, that's it. No one man will change the issues that dot Halo as of rn. An there arnt very many issues to actually hammer down. It's just that the ship has started sailing and we should hope for a better

I will say this once and never again. Stop huffing copium they aren't making a new halo game they aren't putting this man back on the team because this guy actually innovates and is creative. I've given 343i over 10 years worth of chances don't you guys think we deserve better as a player base ? 343 actually needs to learn from their mistakes. Please don't preorder the next two halo games tbh as backlash for halo infinite. They actually need to learn that actions have consequences. Ik there's new leadership but that might not change anything we haven't seen this "new" 343 hasn't even made their own game yet. While the textures used may physically be less pixels. The artstyle makes it look better than it actually is.
Something you want to look at, something natural, not plastic/rubber.
*The lighting and shadows is another point to add.
The old games had baked in shadows that still create WAY better scenes than the lazy ray/path tracing methods used today.
They just plop in a natural light source and call it a day.
