If AI is really that bad for the industry and lowers productivity, then companies wouldn't use it. I know you aren't an economist or a businessman Mr. Blitz, but think about this reasonably. Let the market decide. If they try to use AI and it doesn't work, they start operating at a loss and they either have to adjust their business model or their company will fail. In either case the Halo IP will continue to exist, since it's too valuable for Microsoft to let go.

Totally agree with your comments on hiring longtime Halo artists. Halo is literally a big enough franchise that you could just hire fan artists to make pieces for cheap and they’d literally be willing to do it as a passion project just to have a stake in their favorite franchise and bring quality back. (Not to say you shouldn’t pay people fairly for their work… but people willing to do cheaper work for their favorite franchise are totally out there)

There are good uses of AI, for collecting, summarizing or checking your text data for example. But for art, in my opinion its only use is for streamlining selections, filling gaps in patterns, aiding in mass texture generation, and upscaling images.

But really, look at how many games have used procedurally generated environment even before AI became mainstream or on the radar. If AI can be used to enhance procedurally generated content in some areas then it frees devs to work on content in others. This also opens up more jobs in maintaing/training AI l. It's all about adaption which is nothing new in history

I'll be honest, I have so little faith in 343 now given how poorly they've handled Halo Infinite and it's life cycle, how all their promises proved to be rather empty and hollow. Them hiring people to make generative AI, the same shit used to steal artwork and ruin god knows how many lives of digital artists who create digital art to make a living. I myself aspire to be a digital artist, yet this whole problem with generative Ai stealing artwork without repercussions or any consequences for those who make or utilize these AI, it makes me fear that this shit is gonna go the route of Terminator with how much big companies are funding this shit.

The ai cheats, it can't predict you if you deliberately be inconsistent, I tricked it several times during the beta and caught it cheating, it wall hacks and aim bots to win against you, it took three of these dumb AI to win against me, it shadows you to learn yet can't predict if you do nothing as it needs input to function so don't give it nothing and watch it cheat.
