As someone who plays Halo for the campaign exclusively, the series is honestly utterly ruined for me after what 343 have done. Everything after Reach have been so dogshit i barely remember any of what happened in them, meaning i no longer care about getting any halo game that is made as im simply no longer invested in the story at all. To me the story ended in 3, and everything after don't exist.

As someone who hasnt played Halo since Halo Reach, battle royale won't save Halo. What made Halo, Halo. It was the unique multiplayer and amazing custom games that people could share and save to a list and show off to their friends. Custom games like fatman, Micheal Jackson and never land ranch, Flush, cops and robbers, Duckhunt, and so many more that ive forgotten about and have been lost to time. Halo needs that spark back. These devs will never have that. They will just try to make a reskinned clone of warzone or fortnite and why would people stop playing those games to play a Halo skin of said games. Man i miss the days i was in the clan DHG Die Hard Gamers in halo Reach. It was peak.

I miss the 360 era of games. I can't believe we consistently got games with campaigns, couch co-op, multiplayer, survival game modes, theatre mode, forge/ugc, file share, unlocks that came with bragging rights (Recon), proximity chat, map voting, post game lobbies, and a bunch of other stuff I'm not mentioning all wrapped up into a single game. Back then, I thought games would only get more impressive and fun. But now you're telling me we can only get a game with just a campaign. You truly don't know you're living the good times until they're gone. It's fine that Halo has crashed and burned, I totally accept that, but it's just funny to me that no Halo game can do what came before it.

Creating halo as a form of entertainment was very easy for OG bungee as it was for many of our nostalgic franchisees that we love from OG developers decades ago ….. it was because they had the right priorities. Entertainment priorities/gaming priorities. So what is entertainment? Well by purpose and literal definition it means appealing escape. When you understand this and focus solely on this you end up with actual authentic creative artist and authentic game, developers who we referred to as gamers making games for gamers producing authentic entertainment.
It’s that simple
Over complicating it is missing the forest through the trees. It’s finding ways to put a value system or a tier list from bad to complacent. And with this kind of frame of mine, you end up excusing or justifying or ignoring or compromising or settling in the face of wrong priorities. Regardless of the intensity or degree.
And the thing about writing the wrong priorities is you get more of the ones you feed. They grow. So if wrong priorities are evident or involved, but you ignore them and provide eyeball and wallet access regardless… You end up enforcing and incentivizing those wrong priorities causing them to grow and get worse . It escalates.
When consumers hold companies accountable to a certain expectation of authenticity with their entertainment, those companies find it very hard to exploit or deviate in the wrong direction because it comes at the loss of eyeball and wallet access. And that’s the only thing these assholes care about. So if you structure what you provide that access to then you create an environment that only produces a certain kind of outcome.
if you’re complacent… Then you get wrong priorities and disingenuous inauthentic results.
But if you maintain accountability and hold to a standard of authenticity… Then you get the right priorities which produces authentic results with true potential realized .
Always keep it simple .
You get the beast you feed, do not feed the wrong priorities and I promise you will very much enjoy the results. Results many of us remember from decades ago with our most nostalgic franchises.

I'm at the point where if a fan of the Bungie Halos claimed they could make a game just as good, if not better, than the 343 era games and still somehow tie into their stories if they had the same tools and resources and a five year development window - I would 100% believe that fan and I would expect a game as janky as Halo CE or even Halo 2, but beloved by 90% of the Halo fans.

I've lost respect to them the moment "some" of their people put their political BS in the game. Like I have nothing against what they wanna fight for, but keep that out of the game where you're supposed to escape from reality. I just want the old Halo back where the story is engaging and you could immerse yourself again. Personally, Halo Infinite made you at least feel like a Spartan II again, like this supersoldier that everyone looks up to. Last I felt that was Halo Reach after 1-3. 4 in itself wasn't bad to an extent, imo.

Instead of the usual red vs blue / Spartan vs Spartan they intead have a large scale warfare with different alliances battles
Like in Battlefield Field with diffent country's batteling its Spartans vs. Brutes
ODST vs. Eliets
UNSC soldiers vs. Jackels and grunts
Each with their own vehicles and weapons
All of which are customisable for whenyou'ree in a match withanye of those teams
I am boared of Spartan v. Spartan
It's timee to fight a war we keep hearing about in the Halo Lore

I think halo would greatly benefit from a battlefront styled game. An objective based game where the assest progress in strength as players accumulate points. Calling in iconic characters or reinforcements like inforcers or Infiltrators. Have the 4 basic soldier classes like sniper, assault, officer ,and heavy. Call in phantoms ,pelicans, poilt jets and banshees. Call in glassing strikes or macgun rounds! Imaging being able cash in points and drop in with a squad member as a hunter! Or crash in on enemy objectives as an odst! It would be amazing!
Edit: Another not just Imagine being a normal jackel or marine and encountering a Spartan or elite! Imagine how terrifying and imposing it would feel to have one run you down cleaving and gunning through allies. We haven't truely experienced something like that yet.

The Halo community, and myself the only game I really play to this day, every night have given this company way too many chances to redeem themself .. As long as the sole focus isn’t battle royal then halo will do fantastic with battle royal as an additional mode! So many people love ODST and more love drop pods
