Not only desync, we have also a random crash problem. We play well, win soke games and after a few games halo crash with no reason and we lost a lot of points in ranked. I have a ryzen 5600x, a tuf rtx 3070 and i have problems only with halo infinite

Hey man you might want to reconsider pitching your service differently. Specially if it’s about getting good at a game, why would you want to get good at a game if it’s this bad and unpolished? And it just sounds a little tacky to spend a while video highlighting how “broken” it is, only to follow that right up with “but hey if you pay us money, we will help you get good at it!” Just doesn’t really work. Only desync I ever experienced, I’m on console, is when I get hijacked outta a vehicle & kicked out. Suddenly everything is all fucked & I’m phase shifting all over. I've found that if you are the fireteam leader you suffer desync more often, I play ranked and if I am playing on my own solo/duo it doesn't seem to effect me as often and I am playing pretty well but when I play with my friend with similar rank on duos and I am fireteam leader my game goes to shit I am shooting the same way, call outs etc yet I can't buy a kill and I ain't missing my shots are not registering and it looks like I am dying instantly to me it looks like they only got off two or three shots
For example I was playing yesturday had boost running up the stairs to top mid near active camo there is two players I get a burst into one notice I am about to be tag teamed take a few shots still have half a shield and boost back down the stairs,I am halfway down the stairs and die yet the guys who shot me are still at top mid waiting on active to appear they don't chase me and had no line of sight on me but mange to break my shield and kill me ? not to mention I hadn't done a single bit of damage to them at all.
Another example which was strange we are playing streets have a ping of 23ms I am playing well and my friend couldnt buy a kill next thing he says did you see that the ping just shot up to 250ms latency issues then back to normal 23ms and he was nolonger struggling and now i was firing blanks and couldn't buy a kill actually I don't think I got a kill for the rest of the game he went from zero to top of the score boards but the first half of the game he couldn't do anything second half he was melting them and carried us to the win .It's so frustrating and I know it isn't my connection as I have good internet with 1Gb fiber and am hardwired in so get the full connection

Desync ruins this game imo. I've had countless games ruined because of this, and it's horrible. Not to mention packet loss. No other game I play has packet loss, but I get it every 4-5 games in Halo... Very disappointing as I've been a die-hard Halo fan since Halo CE... I'm disappointed in 343 devs, how could you go on BREAK right after launch with these problems going on. They don't work fast enough, they don't provide new content (oh, sorry, Tactical Ops which is horrid, forreal, who uses a MANGLER in SWAT??? - and while I'm on it, WHY DID WE RENAME IT - SWAT IS ICONIC!) . I'm just beyond disappointed. I still play the game, occasionally, but I've found myself venturing off to different games more often. An hour or two of Halo per week is enough for me. Now, I am hopeful for season 2... but that's not saying much. If 343 drops the ball in S2, this game is as good as dead (it already is for the most part). But, I'll for sure abandon this game if S2 flops like S1 has. We need fixes to desync - among other problems, more content, and just a rework of this freaking game

This is so toxic, the gaming community as a whole, especially since youtubers and streamers. They are pushing for new games, new content, putting devs under the consumers thumb, then want to bitch about an incomplete game. Prime example, in my opinion, No Mans Sky. Say what you will, when i saw the first trailer i was ecstatic with what this gamw could be. Granted when it first came out, very repetitive, but with a team of 20 something, and Microsoft pushing, but not helping. Regardless, look at it now, an absolutely amazing game, with so much content, 100's of hours of gameplay. Patience has been lost as a trait over the last 20 years, and im only 34.

I have fiber optic internet and my console is tied directly into my access hub via the highest quality cable.

Honestly i am only playing it because of the current event, tac slayer (which BTFW MANGLER TAC SUCKS GIANT DONKEY NUTS) i literally quit as soon as i get one. 1 to show the devs how much it sucks, and 2 team actually gets an advantage for it. But yeah in general still same issues with the game as before, dsync i haven't run into much, for me its weapon balances still suck, map balance is still garbage, and the maps in general only maybe 1 or 2 i feels actually fun to play, the rest is almost a chore. The overall fun score of the game ia going down too and im going to leave my negative review on the steam website.

I'm on gig ether and the game is unplayable due to desync and what I believe to be a swarm of small time content creators whom sub to wall hacks for various FPS', obvs including Halo, because there's NO sub-pro skilled players left, it all feels like n00bs, smurfs, pros or all these nameless aim "gods" (aka rando streamers who stay under the radar enough across a few games to have sustainable communities so long as they dont attempt to go "pro" in any one game). I'm not bothered by the desync because I don't have WiFi so I'm always lagging anyway. I'll just play through it. Halo Infinite still feels much better than COD Warzone and Apex Legends. I think Halo runs smoother and I have better ping compared to the competition. Although not perfect. And far from ideal. Halo is still a good game with huge potential. And things can only get better imo ?

Ping is the time it takes for your data to reach the server and then recieve a response. For this discussion ping and lag are basically the same thing. When someone refers to ”lagging” they are referring to high ping, aka a long delay in their communication with the server. An example would be you shooting someone and it taking 100 milliseconds for the server to register your shot.
Desync is when you shoot someone and the server never gives you credit for the shot.

I said the game didn’t feel any different when the “lower ping” patch hit. The numbers you see on average might be 10-20 MS lower, but you can’t fake how the game feels. Like I said before, I will take a 6 month content drought if it means fixing desync. As long as the game feels good maps can come later than expected. On the flip side, if they cannot or will not fix desync they need to flood us with content. The reality of the situation is desync has not been fixed AND content is non existent. Let this game and 343 die quickly so the franchise can be handed over to someone else…..ANYONE ELSE.

I’ve always had pretty bad desync with Infinite. My internet connection isn’t great either because of where I live (best I can get is 23Mbs down / 3Mbs up). That said, and without question, since the patch my desync has become unbelievably bad. I have games where my accuracy is 65%, I have hit 350 shots, but go 10 and 20 with a terrible K/D. It’s utterly bananas. For a while I questioned my own skill…but then I started doing a deeper dive, monitoring my shots hit and taking note of player health after they kill me and seeing that the game only registered 2 or 3 of the 4 or 5 bursts that I connected on (at least on my screen). I get fucking MELTED in less than half a second…my hit detector will start to register I am getting shot and before I can even react - I’m dead. Grenades kill me from well outside the normal radius…I get shot around corners worse than ever, and rockets…wow…rockets…if a rocket lands within 50 in-game metres of me, I am dead.
I can go toe to toe with someone, where we both start shooting at the same time, and I am dead before I can even squeeze off the 4th burst (even though all three preceding bursts were 100% on-target/connected)
It makes no sense…and I am truly at a loss. I have been playing Halo since CE, and am a die hard fan…but this shit…this shit is un-fucking-acceptable.
I have sent Halo support numerous screen shots and media to validate my claims, and they keep shovelling horseshit responses back to me saying they made note, and are keeping my case file open for further review with the devs etc.

Dude I'd kill for 23 Mbps down that's like almost 3 mb/s. Where I live the absolute best I can get is 6 Mbps or 750 Kb/s and I live on the edge of a goddamn city not in the middle of nowhere. My connection is good enough that I get a super consistent ping of 47 despite my horrible internet. Anyways I totally agree with you that the desync "fix" screwed something up. I never had any issues with desync before the patch but I took a break before they implemented it. I hopped on for the new event stuff and it seemed like every other time I'd miss headshots in swat the game would just give me the kill and some clearly direct hits just didn't register.

@bran flake yeah man, it’s broken, period. I just finished playing moments ago - and have decided I am done. Some games are so bad for me now that button presses don’t register, I get screen stutter and it’s all tied to the net code. I am playing on arguably the best gaming TV money can buy (77” LG G1), and running the game on Series X @4K/120…so this is not a hardware issue.
So alas, the game has broken me - I’m out! Never tried Apex Legends, so I am installing that for something new to try until Halo gets fixed (IF it gets fixed).

Yeah there is games where I am getting melted to the point I can't react it's instant death I use to think ohhh maybe I was crossfired by multiple players but it turns out most of the time it's a one on one gunfight and my bullets didn't even register and I have 874Mbps dl and 116mbps up

Mint Blitz made a post about how the desync is worse on console. I recently acquired a PC and I found opposite results. Either way its a problem. At the end of the day tho, Halo Infinite has felt unpolished this whole time. Thanks for the content!

Thanks for the video this cleared up a lot for me. Especially the ping related comments. I’ve played more than usual the past few days and I would notice I was having issues and i was on a really good ping, and also had some games where I had bad ping and it played fairly smooth or consistent I should say.

I had a Desync issue in the middle of a firefight today while recording. My game paused and froze. Then I got killed by the enemy player. Lol

You’re not wrong bro. This problem has gotten significantly worse over the last 5 days or so. I thought I was just on a suck streak and went back and check my footage and it’s def fff’d in the B for sure. What is 343 doing. The last video game I played 12 years ago or so was Halo 3 and came to this with high expectations, and I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty awesome and a ton of fun. But I have experienced a lot of these glitches and it really sucks. I know 343 has to be seeing these comments, but maybe we just need to be more pro active about emailing the company.

Could of told 343 & you it wasn't related to ping. I've never had a game above 60ms pre or post "fix" (haha) and desync has always been present. I notice it worse on ultra low ping games like 343 is compensating for high ping opponents. Played both xbox x and pc and its prevalent on both, maybe worse on xbox (felt like id die way behind walls, like 5 feet behind)

I stopped playing halo. Been playing MCC every single day since it came out. I’ve always backed 343 when everyone abandoned the studio…it’s clear now they are just a poor mis managed studio. I’ve finally given up and come to terms that Halo isn’t Halo anymore.

Dude I’m about there. I never played MCC until after infinite but it’s ridiculous what content it has vs infinite. I played CE and Halo 2 on the OG Xbox and halo 3 and 4 on the 360. I skipped 5 just knowing and because it’s been so long ultimately gave it a shot. I love the gameplay but it’s stale and 343i is a disgrace. I don’t wanna part but honestly, infinite really might kill the halo series so many of us used to know and love… it’s sad and I truly hope it’s not intentional because the studio couldn’t find the passion and talent or failed to stand by to the devs that did have them while corporate pushed the shitty f2p model, only to completely monetize and kill off a beloved series

To be honest I notice more dsynce when I have lower ping. It makes me think 343 has prioritized the higher ping player game on the server in an attempt to correct or make the issue fair. I love the game. I'm looking forward to more content and all the issues being ironed out. Keep making good content GameLeap team.

I dont think 343 attempted a real fix for the dsynce but rather they changed the servers priority order in an attempt to reduce the perception of the problem.

100% this. I got fiber in January and the quality of my matches has gone down despite my average ping dropping from ~40ms to ~15ms. The game feels worse at lower pings because it's trying to accommodate worse pings and it's just making the game feel like garbage for everyone.

I personally think it’s has to rely more on the coding of hit registration and perhaps the collision. My theory on ghost/blank melees might come down to the coding of how sometimes the system tries to read an input from the user and how the melee rule where sometimes you and your opponent hit each other but 1 often wins due to having the melee or fastest connection but it’s the system reading the input and can be corrupted resulting in a blank/ghost melee and viceversa with bullets. The coding sucks with halo infinite plain and simple

The trend follows the climbing instability of HI's netcode, and 343's lack of resolving, or prioritizing game stability as something to either move updates forward for, or simply pushing out as hot fixes while working on the next update(s), but they seem willing to do neither.
