Very disappointing. I hope this isn’t an indication of the kind of pace we can expect going forward from season 2. I like aspects of the game but it absolutely leaves a lot to be desired. Halo just isn’t for me anymore. They took a sci-fi military shooter with mature themes and made it a Saturday morning super hero cartoon with a store to buy cat ears.
I’m out. This isn’t the halo I grew up with since 2001. There’s no desperation, there’s no tension, there’s no flood, there’s no blood, there’s no fear, the enemy treats everything like a joke, you’re basically just a super hero instead of a super soldier, the fucking marines have more health than you do, etc etc.
Not only that but the multiplayer has so little content it’s not worth playing.
If you enjoy it, keep enjoying it. Ironically, the tv show thematically is more inline with the originals than infinite is with the gore and heavy themes. It’s still awful but atleast it’s got that going for it.

I mean, Halo fans, maybe, probably, but why would casual players play Halo Infinite? What the overshield needs is the few seconds of invincibility while it overcharges your shields like it did in H3. This will make it more skill-based to work with AND to work against. Obviously still make it susceptible to a back snack during the overshielding lrocess though.

Banshee would terrarize you in halo 2, here, it's a flying trash can
The hover craft whatever it's called is trash, the machine gun is so weak it's like you are shooting from a water gun
Ghosts are still halo 2 level pretty lethal and have a good resistance to damage
Warthogs do flip like crazy and get destroyed way too easily
Grandes are weak and rare
Stickies suck
No dual wield sucks
Whacking is rediculous as alot of times player will lunge from 5 feet away like they have a sword to whack you
No enough good weapons on maps at all!
Lag between shots on sniper is horrible
Lag on bazooka is horrible too
Grande launcher too weak and auto track option is horrible
This is a big one, battle rifle, shoots too slow and sound awful
Shotgun is decent but they need to put up the damage a bit, point blank shot should be an instant kill like in halo 2

I think this is important to tackle because the OS is just a solid white rn which if they decide to add power ups like speed booster or damage booster how is that going to be communicated visually through gameplay. It would be hard to tell with Infinite's current color system.
