For a game that is going to last for at least 5 years, I think the best decision is sacrificing a lot in the first two seasons - especially due to internal issues - to be able to bring constant content from Dec 2022. I am ok with Season 3 delay and Season 2 new content. I am not a gamer how plays a lot but I have played halo in 2001 and fallen in love with it since then. I am ok with this.

@Episode 13 6 months is a really long time for the amount of content they are giving us, there's not even 2 months worth of content coming. The only thing to look forward to is Forge, the community is being generous when they say 343 should have 3 months per season.

I'm not a big fan of all this battle Royal stuff but I get that it is a big deal now. However I personally think they should have scrapped the idea of the battle Royal mode and had all the focus on the main game, like Co op campaign the seasons and forge. I used to really like my halo but the way it is going is disappointing to me. I hate to say it but I haven't even played a halo game in over 3 months.

I’m not wasting my time climbing through this shitshow in lower onyx with terrible matchmaking and this mess of game-defining bugs. I do not want to start anything but what I am going to say is controversial, I think it is both the Dev team and the Executives of 343 who are to blame for this. The microtransactions are only in the game because they thought FTP would make money and so it was designed to be predatory that takes both an executive team and the Dev team to work out, the armour cores and colours systems are predatory in practice because the Execs said they need to mkae money so the Devs designed it to where you have to either spend money or do assanign challenges to unlock a singular colour or piece of armour, where as before in the other Halo's just playing the game gave you armour and the colours were already free which in its own means the Devs designed it to be scummy. The story is convoluted and really down to the core is just cowardice, they refuse to extrapalate on anything from 5 and HW2 because they wanted a clean slate and wanted to see reactions to determine how they were going to make the next installments of the story.
The only redeemable quality the game has is thay it tried to go back to basics but according to the design teams they tried to mix it up and no one responded well to it so they deleted like 1 to 2/3s of the games content before launch. The game was so bare bones that only the Devs who were making the content could be to blame for that. Its poor management and servers are down to the Execs trying to save money. 343 is a poor company with poor management which is corrupt to its core in spirit. HW2 had an addition that had all but one of the DLC and it severely pissed people off that people were not getting the full content, so 343 made a new bundle/complete edition which had the content all in one but never resolved how they lied to people.
Simply put people need to stop spending money on the company or they will literally never learn from their mistakes.
They promised a live service game and have released only like 4 updates in 5 months, that is a complete lie, they promised to fix the in-game store but only waited to release it when they started to make less money (Exec issue). Another issue was that they were "burn't out" after only like 2 months of work, they are a company of nearly 700 employees working on 2 games how do they get minimal progress done and then get "burnt out" imagine say you are at a restraunt and you are with a family of 4+you and the waitress comes out eith 3 plates of food and then leaves to go on her break to return half an hour later with 1 extra plate which is first not the order the person ordered but they also still haven't given the last person their order.
343 should be reprimanded and punished for the actions, which does not mean harass the employees but it means stop playing their games call, them out and do not congratulate them on a job half done.

It's really unfortunate that the game has to go another six months drip feeding content. Well let's hope whatever technical debt that still needs to be resolved gets done soon so they can finally put all their focus on content. I really feel Season 3 is gonna be the turning point for Infinite, with Forge unlocking the community content pipeline that gave previous Halo titles the replayability that Infinite is desperate for.

I had nervously been waiting for this roadmap, very disappointing and to be honest has actually made me want to play less than if they hadn't released their plans. But to know this is all we will have for a long time... it makes me glad I haven't spent any money on this game. Halo had been my favourite gaming franchise since it came out and 343 have turned it into a dog's breakfast. For the mythical Battle Royale mode, that had been rumored before the games release, to come out nearly a year after initial release is astounding.

At this point just give Halo to another studio, one that is competent and organized. I know developing games are hard, that much is obvious, but the fact that 343 has been developing Halo for 10 years or so now and they still haven't found their rhythm speaks to me about how disorganized they are as a whole. Microsoft really needs to be stricter on 343 since Halo is literally their main franchise that launched with the first Xbox.

I really just don't care about Infinite anymore tbh. Season 2 SOUNDS great, but so did, yknow, the entire rest of the game. It's just too little too late at this point. It's a shame, the core gameplay is still great, but I'm not gonna wait around forever to have them slowly trickle content in, at least not at this rate. I would imagine it mostly has to do with Microsoft and other high up executives, because it's clear 343 really does care about Infinite, and has shown they're more than capable of making a great game. Regardless, it's lost me. I'll check back in a few years and hope it's better
