@Pet my head I keep hearing about this "problem" in 343i or microsoft preventing progress and I just don't see it. What I see is a developer who clearly wants to make their own game for their own audience (the "broader audience") and they want to use the name Halo to artificially inflate its success. This was painfully clear with Halo 4 and Halo 5. They had an opportunity to make up for it with MCC however they treated it like the proverbial red headed step child. They didn't put their full passion and creativity into it because if they had I see no reason why it took YEARS before that was even playable lol Halo Infinite is an example of them going "fine we will give Halo fans what they want since they are the only ones who stick around after the broader audience leaves but we are still going to cater certain aspects of the game to the broader audience fans while we monetize the shit out of the things the Halo fans want and that is exactly what they spent their time doing. Got the same amount of maps that fucking Halo 3 dropped with in 2007!!!! you read that right a game that released 15 fucking years ago had the same amount of maps at launch as Halo Infinite.... how pathetic is that? lol /endsecondrant

If they do a battle royale I am never ever playing Halo infinite again because Battle Royale kill multiplayer aspects in the game. When war-zone came out it kill multiplayer of Modern Warfare. And I am sick of the Battle Royale genre.

If the Battle Royale works and is actually fun, then I'm fine with that, though I am disappointed that they made it after they once said that 'The only BR in Halo will be Battle Rifle' which is now just another broken promise. Not as big of a broken promise as some of the others, but still a broken promise nonetheless, and it wouldn't be too farfetched too assume they broke this promise just for monetary gain. I might still give it a try when it comes out, but I'm still very optimistically pessimistic about how Halo: Infinite is developing.

Some of these leaks i believe like the Certain Affinity mode stuff because you can actually see the strings and files on them etc. But people saying campaign dlc isn't coming until after 2024 just seems like a joke, there's no way it's going to be that long. Im sure campaign dlc hasn't started yet,akes sense they got to get the game to where it needs to be first with forge, customs, cgb, service record, co-op, mission select and 3 month seasons all in and working first but after that campaign dlc is probably going to go into full dev for 343. Definitely going to be more than a year, id say a year plus is my guess maybe 2.

so in terms of a battle royale, I think it could he cool because it could get players back j to the game, therefore giving the dev's more of an incentive to actually do what we want once there are more players. the only thing I'm worried about with it is that it's the only thing anyone will play and all of the fun other modes will be left in the dust. so yeah. maybe make a BR but PLEASE do not only play that because then other modes will have no matchmaking and the BR will be the only thing that gets updated and we wont see forge and infection for a very long time

1 fix theater

That moment when the beta loading screen from a community member is better than a full-fledged loading screen from the actual industry. Oy! Like, why? How? At this point I just don't understand why things like this get put into the game and in the way it's done. It says if someone clicked and upload button, chose a jpeg and then click submit before anyone looked at it (operative word is "as if" because it's likely someone did check, they just did a really poor job at checking). I'm confounded, confused at the conundrum that is the development of this game. Then again, it should be the expectation when you're hiring contractors and things are done in a sloppy rushed manner. Here's hoping things change as at least we've seen good things come. Time will tell as always

That custom loading screen is amazing. How good would it be if artists could submit artworks/theatre mode screen shots up for vote by the community, and the top X amount of winners get the works featured for the season? I think that could be a good way to build that community relationship 343 wants with players.

Yeah definitely feels like it’s not just campaign dlc or expansion we’ll be getting like Destiny but a whole new campaign.

So while the multiplayer will be service based with seasonal content the campaign(s) will probably stick with a more traditional 3-year or so cycle and be full-price just like the first campaign was.

Definitely a little bit worrying if they’re just starting on the new campaign now, like they didn’t have a set vision for what was next while finishing the first. On the plus side maybe it means they’re reevaluating the open-world format which was very by-the-numbers and poorly done in the first campaign. A more varied campaign with epic set pieces in a more traditional/linear format sounds more exciting to me personally.
