Don't get me wrong, there's still a long way to go before Halo Infinite gets to where it needs to be, but I have to praise 343 with this update because it truly breathed new life into this game. I'm honestly super excited to keep playing it, once we get Desync fixed, a CGB, and a career progression system we'll be looking good!

Yesterday, I probably played infinite for the longest I ever have. I played for almost 6 hours straight in customs before I had to rip myself off the game to go to bed. I’m super excited to see what will be made in forge in the coming weeks

i think cross core helmets are gonna be first; i keep getting this glitch where either my fireteam, my armor itself, or ai’s have any armor core BESIDES mark 7 but always has the same grey mark 7 helmet

I jumped into one random lobby and had the best time I’ve had in a long time in halo. I was laughing so much with complete strangers over the funny things that happened in matches. You’re right that there’s a lot left to do, even with forge as well, but this update was 100% a win for 343 and I’m hyped for more

I really like that a lot of people really like forge I had an issue today I wanted to try a forge map by myself with bots and I just kept spawning out of the map barrier I don't know if that's a glitched I really love your channel and your game night sound interesting Good work on your videos I really miss offline split screen and I really hope we get a custom coating system and some weekly challenges to reward us with a little bit of credit like towards the store

I've loved all the forge creations so far. As for Matchmaking, did 343 change things with SBMM In quick play? Because I feel like I have had better experiences recently. The games have been very close calls and not one-sided and the other day, I had a 7 game winning streak, which SBMM is supposed to prevent.

This was what I was hoping for!! So many told me that this game would be dead even with forge coming out. I’ve never used forge that much in past Halos but I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of hours on game modes and maps people have made. I’ve been on a break since the update but I can’t wait to play classics like Jenga, Duck Hunt, Paintball, etc. And I know there will be hundreds of other maps and games that people will create!

Add a HUGE HUGE HUGE asterisk to the winter update. It isnt anything 343 added that is bring people back into the game outside of forge, it is the community putting in modes, maps and game types that 343 is lazy to do themselves. The two new maps that 343 added are by far the most boring and uninspired and that is only 2 maps. They literally shrank the amount of official modes due to low player numbers.

As of right now, halo infinite is the 14th most played xbox game. Halo should be in the top 3 at least. I play on xbox but i haven't played infinite since February. I don't care about forge.

I'm enjoying the update as much as anyone else, but all this should have been present at launch. Stuff like campaign mission replay/co op and match xp have come standard with every Halo game up until now. And even still we're missing features like pre/post game lobbies, ranks and gamemodes like Infection that won't be coming out until a year and a half after release.
The winter update is a step in the right direction but the game still dropped the ball hard in it's first year. I don't really feel like most of these things are even that big of asks either.

I think we should really be thanking the forge hub community who had access to the beta 4 months ago for making sure there was a back log of content for the launch of the open beta. Without them there would be little for us to play on and nothing in the browser.

There’s still no infection. Sorry, but 343 doesn’t get “well done” from me until they figure out how to make a game mode where one team spawns with swords. They don’t get “well done” until the game is finished, which it should have been at launch.
There’s no xp progression, armor customization is absolutely abysmal, there’s no split-screen campaign, no infection, we’re still missing key social features… the game is not finished. “Well done” when the game is finished.

I’ve been forging for hours upon hours a day, just cause its fun to do so, I’ve learned a ton from the script nodes and the times I did have issues. They were fixed pretty fast.
Downside being it’s always online nature, cause the internet here is godawful so I get ping spikes often. Besides that, banger update.

I can definitely say the btb maps and experience blows what 343 made out of the water by a long shot. Having large open maps allowing for maneuverable vehicular combat without being bottlenecked down slim lanes is a godsend.
I definitely liked what one of the guys suggested last night (if it's even possible), and that's to open up the player limit on those larger btb maps. If we could have even more than 12v12 say on argonaut, then that would make the experience even that much better!

Steam charts also show that the game has been peaking at 10-12k players since the update, more than double to the days prior which only had 4k peak. I really hope it won't taper off too much, but well done 343. I hope they take this opportunity to re evaluate their understanding of what the game should be.

One thing I feel like not many people are talking about is Coop campaign. I waited a year for it, and I’m having an absolute blast with it! Forge and customs are definitely the main thing though, can’t wait for the custom games browser in season 3

@FootedGhost I definitely think the damage over time and shock-linking has been fixed. I've gotten multiple "From the Grave" using it, way more than before. I've also had a "Interlinked" and two "Shock Chain" medals with the Disruptor. I always liked this weapon and used it quite a bit.

Forge is absolutely insane, FG. The update has been out for several days, and some incredible maps are already available. I strongly believe 343 need to incorporate classic map remakes like Blood Gulch and Guardian and classic-styled maps such as Argonaut into matchmaking and keep the exceptionally crafted maps in the appropriate playlists.

@Chandler Smith Giving 343 a simple task like forging some maps is like handing a monkey a blowtorch. In the time that forge has been released the HALO COMMUNITY has remade classic maps and made better custom maps than 343 has made dev maps. This version of forge is more akin to simpler dev tools and look what non devs have been able to do.
