When I see these mods, I think they're cool but why haven't they added mod support to the actual xbox version of MCC? There's no splitscreen on PC unless through horribly complicated buggy methods, and I'm the only one that has access to a PC out of all my friends so I don't have a reason to get the PC version of MCC. These mods would be such a blast to play couch co op, so videos like these right now just show me what could have been. Does anyone know if they have plans on adding mod support in the future for xbox consoles?

This mod is ass, dude, it's just a hodge-podge forced mess of reused assets and awful encounters that make no sense even from a gameplay standpoint.

This is how every halo game should be. Stop dropping weapons because they are imbaanced for ranked. Halo isn't about ranked multiplayer. Keep them for social playlists. I want needle rifles, submachine guns, fuel rod cannons etc. So sick of games removing content from previous releases for no good reason. Halo infinite feels like it has barely an guns. Everything is balanced for ranked so everything feels like some shitty precision rifle. It's sad.

Reach as a prequel to CE shouldn't have weapons from subsequent games, and the Covenant should be as alien as possible. From a lore perspective, this mod sucks the life out of the meaning of the game.
Seeing plenty of comments about how limited the original is, both in terms of gameplay and sandbox. It fits the atmosphere. Humanity and the UNSC didn't have a full scope of what they were dealing with. So, the weapon selection would be limited. Combat was not ever in the favour of the defenders of Reach, so it feeling like a slog to make progress fits the tale. It doesn't make the most engaging gameplay experience, but it does create a very appropriate sense of dread and loss, and sacrifice.

Most Overhaul mods kinda suck in my opinion. They usually add in a lot of stupid things, poorly thought out concepts, and ugly graphics changes. This mod looks to me a lot less like a "what Halo Reach always should have been" mod.

Mythic overhaul is the embodiment of "More is more". At retail, Halo Reach always felt like a great core game that tripped over its peckish content and inability to match its tone and atmosphere with its underwhelming combat encounters and lack of a truly innovative weapons sandbox.
Mythic Overhaul does a stellar job recapturing the feeling of picking up and trying out ever little thing you see that made Halo 1 and 2 so engrossing and special. I will never forget how alien and unique so many of the weapons felt. Almost every addition here feels like it has its own place, playstyle, and niche.
I feel like Bungee really struggled to show the sheer extent of the armory of both the UNSC and the Covenant.
This really feels like Reach the way it was intended before its scope was scalled down to meet deadlines. Although I don't think it's possible, it would be amazing to see the reintroduction of the cut missions, although very little of their code remains, and very little information is available about them, similar to Halo 3's cut content.
I do feel the clashing of artstyles here is a bit offputting, and some of the encounters feel impossibly hard, but the hard encounters in some of these missions really highlight how high the odds were stacked against the human presence on Reach upon the arrival of the covenant.

I also remember how disappointing it was to open up forge world and realize that Halo Reach had the same number of guns as Halo 3 did. Meaning that many favorites were supplanted for newer weapons; some of which were not particularly great (the plasma grenade cannon comes to mind of a great concept executed poorly).

@Mint Blitz That, and I think it also had to do with the work crunches that Microsoft was notorious for putting Bungie through. Halo Reach (despite my misgivings) and Halo 2 are two of the greatest FPS’s ever made, and they were practically rushed out the door from conception. It’s what has me convinced that Bungie, outside of Nintendo, was comprised of the most creatively-gifted and passion-driven developers of their time. What they created off of pure gamer intuition in that short of time is utterly unbelievable.
Which is why it’s great to see the modding community channel that same passion and intuition into these games. If I wasn’t a peasant console gamer I could bask in this glow as well, for this is certainly signaling a new epoch for Halo as a whole and it will be the so-called “PC master race” leading the way this time. Exciting stuff.
