Featuring good forge maps in the main playlists. 343 should curate some maps and modes and update them on a weakly basis. Also add a Forge Mode playlist with more experimental maps that might not be quite good enough for the main playlists. PVE content of some sort. They have a large open world map and they don,t take advantage of it. Allow players to Forge in the open world map. Make PVE content in the open world map. Firefight, Spartan ops. Something to feed that playerbase. A Destiny 2 Style season with story content would be amazing. Imagine Booting up Infinite every week to learn more about the world of Zeta Halo with 5-6 weeks of story content and a small mission.
Right now, There is little to no reason to boot up halo infinite. the BP is not interesting to me. There needs to be other ways to get players reinvested other than the BP and event BP.

I know it will never happen for Halo Infinite and likely any other Halo game that gets made but I want so dang badly a Halo Reach style credit system and market. It adds grind-ability to the game and would help with monetization of the game as well via premium credits to buy certain items not all item though some you have to grind for. Also the credit system is unique to Halo im pretty sure i've never seen a game with something like it other than maybe COD Black Ops 1 but that was just for weapons not cosmetics.

For me the postgame lobbies disbanding is the biggest thing. Being able to stay in a lobby with a couple randoms is what made old halo and cod so beloved to me. It creates friendship and community, so the fact mcc and infinite both disband after matches is my biggest complaint with the series now

Update and fix the PC version of the game! I play on Xbox and it's great, but my brother plays on PC, and man does that version run badly. Even with a Titan XP he can barely hit 60 fps on medium settings at 1080p. The frame pacing is off, the Ambient Occlusion is uncanny, and the game crashes often. It's an unfinished product, I would love for them to fix this version so it can be as good as MCC is on PC.
The next thing would be Campaign DLC, but please make it good. Story first, everything else second. Spend time developing a story that feels engaging, and make it exclusive to current gen and PC, so that we can move on and make it more cutting edge. It could and should follow more traditional mission gameplay, with large battles and semi open areas, and maybe a hub world that slowly opens up off the map? Something like Banjo Kazooie hub world maybe? But with missions all around.

Most of this stuff will sadly not happen because of 343's mindset that everything needs to be centered on competitiveness and how it affects the lore...A huge problem to 343's and Halo's overall downfall. How will this map be competitive? How does this map play in esports? How will this mode please the competitive scene and the casual shooter scene yata yata. Missing the days of starting on a beach, fighting your way into a base in a map such as Highground in H3. Something 343 will never seem to understand, and I stand by this confidently.

I want to see the OG credits return to the end of each halo campaign in the MCC. It’s not a huge deal but I think it’s still important to the legacy of the games, as it almost acts as a time of rest and reflection at the end of an epic story. Also without the credits.. you don’t get to hear the awesome mjolnir mix with Steve vai.
Not only that but it kinda seems like a slap in the face to the hard working developers who originally poured their lives into making some of our favourite games ever. I think it’s the least 343 could do, and based on community mod efforts, it seems rather easy to implement

Battle Royale is a dumb game mode. You spend most of the time loading and doing nothing. It is boring. It will not save Halo because it is going to fizzle out.

as the average single player enjoyer, and someone who thinks the more potential to what can be done with the map in infinite, i'd like to see some kind of dlc or update added to the campaign. Maybe new weapons like the spiker or flamethrower, new vehicles like the prowler or jackrabbit (or really anything we've only seen in halo wars), or new areas to explore, and of course, more things to do. I'd also appreciate more single player unlockables.

While more maps, game modes, Campaign DLC are definitely near the top of the list, I’d say 343 needs to update how they handle the storefront. There’s currently no concrete way to earn in-game currency aside from buying it with IRL money and the daily/weekly items system is just plain annoying with basically no reruns for any of the good stuff.
For a fix, just look to Gears 5. I don’t like many things about Gears 5, but how The Coalition has handled their in-game currency and store is ton better than Infinite. Play the game and complete challenges to earn freemium currency, advance through the season pass for some premium, then pop over the the store to buy anything from background banners and blood splatters to new characters. No cycling items, it’s all just there. Just buy what you want with whatever currency you want. No worrying if you missed a cosmetic you wanted because you didn’t want to log in that day. 343 gets money from micro transactions, players get cosmetics, everybody wins.

The one thing I want for the future of Halo is the return of social PVE game modes. I grew up playing halo firefights with my friends and even had loads of fun playing warzone firefight in halo 5. To see a new halo game with a fleshed out PVE system would be a dream come true.

Honestly it needs BR, something that is similar to apex legends but halo style. Apex match-making I feel is the gold standard at the moment and most games should try to get ranked and match-making similar. It also has the option to turn off match-making with PC players if you want. Br would bring so much to the game with vehicle play etc. Things like grapple would be really nice loot finds because they would be so powerful in a BR type gamemode.

The priority should be re-implementing pre and post-game lobbies with a "party up" feature returning as well as vetoing/map selection. This game is incredibly lonely and anti-social with the current system. I played hundreds of hours of Halo 3 just because I had joined in with an amazing party. It is mind boggling to me that 343i did not carry forward this feature.

343 has the perfect blueprint for what people want -- the Bungie games. Halo 3's theatre, fileshare, lobbies. Armor customization like Reach. Firefight. A fun ranking system (1-50). I'm just gonna say it: I sometimes want to screw around in a social game with my friends that isn't sweaty and do stupid things. Campaign areas like deserts and snow. These are just a few examples, but I think the main thing missing is the social experience that used to be in Halo.

I know it’s unpopular but I’d not want pre game lobbies to return. I think people would just end up disappointed as they’re in reality just sitting in silence waiting for the game to start as barely anyone would be talking. It’s just end up annoying people as they have to wait to actually play the game while the lobby takes place. Post game is fine since people can just leave whenever they want but pregame would be annoying since it removes that choice from the player to skip it and go to the next game.
What I would want is more maps and better vehicle handling, the vehicles are still so light and flip so easily so it’s really easy to get destroyed the moment you hop in a vehicle. I’m fine with the weapon and mode variety right now so I really just want more maps each season, don’t really care if they’re UNSC base or not since I enjoy all the maps we have in game but just more of them would be nice and preferably less 3 lane only ones.

Who cares about needler bullet time or the damage of a disruptor, when there are so many bigger issues?
Don't get me wrong, I'm no game developer. I can only imagine the work it takes for bigger features (progression systems, cross core customization, etc...) to be put into the game, but the amount of time it takes for this big game company to make any weightful change is ridiculous. The promises they make feel empty, and really suck the excitement out of the game, and the promises they actually deliver on, are overdue, and unfinished.

I'm fine with skill based matchmaking.. but please for the love of God remove the 50/50 winrate thing.. because you're only as strong as your weakest link.. and I'd love losing a slayer 45-49/50 than end up going 27/8 by myself.. I'd love to just play my heart out against enemies that are appropriately skilled to go against me and my teammates.. and I'm also going to posit that this may help alleviate the lack of player numbers.. if in Arena this winrate standard is abolished, and the almighty algorithm matches you with people that have similar hidden mmr, you're gonna have closer, more heated, more engaging battles. A better experience for all included, and I believe that what you 'lose' from abolishing this broken player retention scheme that doesn't work with such low player numbers, you gain in player experience.. and the more good experiences a player has, the higher chance they'll have of encouraging friends to play, or leaving a good review.

If the item isn't in the shop and you go to it in the customization menu, it'll have a price on it
For example, lets say a helmet will be 500cr, a chest will be 400cr, and shoulders paired together will also be 400cr (that would bring the total to 1300cr)
But if those same items show up as a bundle in the shop, each item would get a price cut of about of (lets say a price cut of 100cr from each item), so instead of paying 1300cr, you would get a discounted price of just 1000cr
With this, people would still have an incentive to engage with the store because of the discounts, but if there's a piece of armor they really need right now, they still have the option to get it instead of having to wait forever for it to show up in the store
As for exclusive timed thing from events/fractures, to something like the champions crest, make it more expensive since those were special limited event kind of things

I've dreamed since i picked up halo wanting to be able to forge ai and i really hope extraction means a functional nav mesh for forge and honestly at that point it would become one of the best halo games in my eyes, thats just me though :)

One thing 343 can do to make Halo infinite better? Give us more of a reason to play the game
Don't get me wrong, I love Infinite's gameplay, it's my favorite in the series, but everytime I try to play it by myself I just feel meh after a few matches cuz I'm not gaining anything
I grind the hell out of the battle passes and events when they drop, and I'll grind for a weekly reward if I like it, but other than that I don't touch the game much
I don't care what comes first, whether it's more classic social games, a big new mode that brings in new players, a progression system, earnable armor, I just want more of a reason to play

Campaign DLC and the abolishment of Skill Based MM in certain playlists at least; not everyone wants to fucking sweat on a game after an 8 hour work day.

If they could do one thing to make the game better, at this point I'd probably have to go with lower SBMM like Halo 3 had, where it targets your low average in non-ranked modes. Right now wins and losses are scripted and it's more frustrating than anything else.

It's damn shame that Infection and Assault are not in the game yet as regular playable game modes. It actively harms the game to not have them, especially infection.
Seasonality is also crucial. If this game is gonna be a live service, it needs to have the benefits of one. Right now, it feels like we only ever experience the downsides of liveservice games.
I want to see the store be a catalogue of all items, not a daily/weekly FOMO shop.
Most/All classic armors should have cool unique ways to unlock them like Halo 3 did. That, or Halo Reach style unlocks.
We should be able to earn XP in custom games. Perhaps not all custom games, but maybe there's a very active community curated playlist with the most popular custom games and we can earn XP playing that playlist. Something similar in concept to Action Sack!
Lastly, I think the UI needs a massive overhaul. Honestly, it isnt the perfect UI but the MCC UI works perfectly fine most of the time. And it looks good. The Infinite UI is clunky, feels like a chore to go through sometimes, and feels too modern.

New weapons and a better focus on multi-player game play tuning.
It feels like thy made multi-player ready for launch and never have touched weapon balancing or anything since then.

I feel like halo needs a extraction mode like DMZ in cod but in a halo way I feel like that’s their best bet to get players to comeback and I feel like halo just goes with it, we could be extracted out of a map In a pelican it’s that simple and halo has already been good with a.I, but I just hope they come out with something fun again bc arena style gameplay ain’t it nomore (just my opinion)

Classic Playlist (no sprint, no clamber, no bloom, adjusted run and jump values) would get me back for a week.

I'd love earnable armor without the FOMO, Fresh menus and smooth UI, pre game lobbies, career/progression system would be a great start.
