I thought the text made it obvious but at 1:41 the theater mode in Halo Infinite is very inaccurate and thats why the shots are so far off.

They wanted to make it a story event where they would make Iratus the reason it affects spartans and launched a story event alongside infection. If they launched it early, everyone would be like : Well we already had infection.

They had "Season 4" multiplayer narrative menus set up that seem to be related to Infection, but it'd be quite a surprise if they end up using them midway through Season 3 alongside releasing Infection early to lessen the downtime between story bits.

Great stuff. One thing I'm curious about is your gameplay... how the fuck are you killing so many people shooting at the air while the guy is like 1 meter below the crosshair? Is it recorded with a lot of ping or something.. or thats just how playing with gamepad is in Halo? I'm very very very confused

Infection is definitely one of the single biggest things Infinite needs, especially with how important it is to the functionality of many of the most popular Forge maps; there's only so much scripting can do. Hopefully it drops before Season 4 because honestly it should have been part of the game at launch. It's one of the single biggest things the game has been missing, and really, once it is added, and once the custom games menu is fixed (which it DESPERATELY needs), then I'm going to be willing to start playing again. I do not give the slightest crap about cosmetics when the game is still lacking basic functionality.

I hope they won't make a new game... I was assuming with the title, no numbering and all that that Infinite would be like its own MCC of sorts. Campaigns would be in one corner, and then the unified multiplayer section, forge, etc. I don't want this to turn into COD where despite one game having this distinct style, another one is just gonna pop out after some time.

I still think it took long because that brute shotgun is coming in S4 with infection by design. Releasing infection without a way for people to re-create infection classic will turn people off in a way delaying just doesn't. The brute shotgun is an instant-kill and has a good amount of work done on it. Not a coincidence. The DMR was just an important weapon. The current sandbox is flawed without it.
The different zombie skins probably just is the difference between the starting zombie, and the infected players. Neat head nod to the guy who started the round, and a neat bit of lore tie-in at the same time.
BR is a bad starter for ranked. DMR is just better, (dmr is bad too, isn't ranked supposed to be skill based. Only in the casual gaming world do people start off with a viable fun in an afps. But dmr is at least weaker so its better).

DMR replacing pistol would work better. Its slower rate of fire, and an actual precision weapon. 343 putting there own 'spin' on infection is an ego thing, they want to replace what came before instead of keep what is already perfect. H2A infected spartans or H4's where WAY better than whatever this goofy AI thing is. The Iratus AI is already abnoxious as it is (like most of the AI's tbf) how is It going to be spooky or scary? There is no way it will be scarier than the flood, teen ratings ruin games that where previously rated higher. The maps look great & some of the armor looks good though.

I was kinda interested to see VIP back, since the one and only time it was in a Halo game was H3, however, prioritizing Escalation Slayer and Infection over it was a really good call. Hopefully that means they have a better understanding about which modes are the fan favorites of the community, and they'll push out those modes a lot sooner. I think Assault/Grifball and Juggernaut are the last 2/3 modes that feel required. The rest of the game modes they add after that will just be nice bonuses.

I think the delay is just because of the lack of a single shot kill shotgun. The brute shotgun fills that role. Ill bet its coming with infection. Would be dumb to add infection without a gun for players to do the old style infection via custom games. But a gun like that also just has far less priority than something like the DMR. Which is what the game has needed since day one.
BR is a BAD starter. BR is very unfair with console vs KBM. Console aim assist is so strong your target can change strafe directions mid burst, but aim assist will still aimbot all 3 bullets to land, something thats physically impossible for kbm to do. Humans have minimum reaction times. And the time between bullets in a burst is less time. I also personally HATE the pistol. Fast clicking weapons are annoying af to use, hard to aim with because im clicking a lot. And I have to make an effort to click as fast as I can. And kills come down to who can press a button faster etc. I really hope the DMR replaces it, and the pistol becomes a slightly stronger T2 weapon instead. Especially since, high rate of fire, is already covered by the AR. The other gun should be a longer range, low rate of fire weapon, actual precision weapon. (spammy guns are not precision, you only need to pay attention to the final headshot) They had too similar required skill sets.
