I can't stand playing the same exact map and game mode in Halo Infinite. I played game after game after game and barely see any variation. It gets beyond boring. It's quite ridiculous they chose to take out the option to choose a game mode. The old system a lot better in my opinion, this new one is all based on chance and it sucks

343 really needs to look back at halo 3 and reach matchmaking, and mcc composer to get an idea for a solution for both problems. 3/reach for veto/voting, and mcc composer to tidy up the playlists and let the players fine tune their matchmaking rather than being given these ultimatums.

I can kind of understand why Infinite doesnt have an MCC style mode selector. Typically this encourages ppl to only play their favourite modes, problem with that overall is the modes for the smaller subset groups can become unplayable. A good example is SWAT, in Oz the wait times are so long that its unplayable. If SWAT was part of social (not saying it should be) than the small group of ppl that loved it (me) will actually get to play it. I havnt played SWAT for possibly a year now. I hate attrition and escalation slayer but I dont quit when it comes up because I know others like it.

Until they let people manually pick and choose which maps and modes to queue up in matchmaking (as it is in MCC and in the bungie games), im out. Its been fun but im not a fan of being forced to do what the devs want.

Hey Mint, I’ve been wondering whether you play on console or pc? I know I play on console and often struggle with sniping headshots. I know the shock rifle particularly is one of my least favourite weapons simply because I can never get a headshot with it, however you seem to be able to do it just fine. Are there any tips/tricks you could give about sniping and are there any settings you have changed like aim sensitivity or something? Thanks so much.

Its also not removed. You can access whenever you want. Thats literally the POINT of custom games. Thats why it exists. So you can play the exact mode/combo you want to.

how about they do separate playlists like btb slayer or ctf like they did for all the past games? why do they have to be mixed? why can't the players choose the exact experience like they did in reach instead of gambling qp or btb with random gamemodes? The focus on "player retention" and aggressive monetization instead of the player experience is ruining halo.

Their reasoning for cutting content is awful. Especially since I can hop on and get oddball and king of the hill for ten matches in a row rather than slayer like I am wanting. If I am not going to get slayer anyway, at least I want the chance to get something other than two annoyingly objective focused modes. I’m kind of tired of them doing what they want with the game rather than what we want. It’s tiring already.

I hope this video and the comments/feedback improve the UI and playlists in the near future. I actually dislike the MCC multiplayer system from my experience. Sure you can choose what game mode you wanted to play. But when it was a niche game mode I could never find games. Kinda stopped playing because of that.

I kinda understand the logic given this is a F2P title... but maybe they need to consider adding map voting to they can get data on which games people pass on every time.

This fake positivity doesn't help. 343 still hasn't fixed the net coding in infinite and MCC. The hit registry is still awful as well as the hidden MMR that ruins the multiplayer.

The MCC style matchmaking where you pick what you want would be great but honestly I think the reason they don't implement it is the population is far too low for players to be extremely picky about what they're playing right now. If players opt out of certain game modes ot would fragment the playlists so much that it would be hard to find matches or players are constantly just going to get what they opted out of because they have to get matched with somebody eventually.
