Honestly. a blend of Anthem's and Warframes. Coatings are fine as texture patterns and materials packs, but restricting the color hues to being pre-baked is just awful.

Maybe turn the coatings in textures/patterns with a color edit something like warframe where you can change the primary, secondary, tertiary , accents depending on the texture/pattern we choose maybe the armor coatings has 7 colors not counting the colors that's hidden with most of them

I think they should have provided more free armour options. Even if it's just a few different ones that you could unlock by doing special challenges. He'll even by doing stuff in campaign.

I don't play Halo to customize my character...there are many things they could improve about the game, but customization shouldn't be a priority imo. Every player already looks unique anyway, so what's the point in wasting precious development time, when they could be making new maps, new guns, new game modes, new campaign DLC. By demanding all this customization you're just showing the devs how much you want to consume microtransaction content...

The freedom of customisation was always a really good feature in the previous Halo games - I don't want to just be a blue spartan standing next to 11 other spartans with main colours from the colour wheel, I want my pants to be yellow, my visor to be hot pink, my logo to be wearing a cowboy hat and my guns to glow like they've been pulled from nuclear sludge

Have ways of earning armours or by doing shit like in halo 4 (through commendation also have commendation’s pop up like in reach when making progress) all while having the store still They jsut really need more ways of obtaining armours that isn’t a shitty ultimate or from the store or the bland battle pass and they need to get rid of Spartan cores by season 15 there’s gonna be 12 ugly ass looking Spartans

I would be fine with spending money in the store if I could just buy exactly what I want when I want and apply it to any armor set or weapon. I'm fine with the coating system but there's simply not enough free or easy to obtain coatings and everything good is vaulted, in an expensive bundle, or far enough into a battle pass that ill never get it. people are usually much more willing to buy cosmetics in a f2p game but unfortunately 343 never really gave us a satisfying way to spend money in halo infinite.

I think that they should keep the armor coatings, but give the option of changing your colors. Like, some of the coatings are amazing, and I dont want to see them gone, like the Wedgewood Spriggan coating, or any of the Noble coatings. But I would also want the choice of changing colors to better fit my mood.

Honestly, I have a feeling they’re trying to slow cross core because the core restrictions are more profitable, in that they create pressure to purchase more items. There’s no way they’re taking so long to implement this - modders have shown for the past year that they can do it easily.

If 343 REALLY wants to have the coating system, then here’s what they should do for cross core. Each Armor Piece would have it’s own separate core (Helmet, Chest, etc) and depending on what core it’s for, Mk VII, Mirage, whatever, the coating that you choose for the armor core will apply to the armor pieces of that core. So you have like Red on the Mk VII pieces, Blue on the Mk V-B and Yellow on Yoroi for example. THAT would be at least 10x better than adding two cores each season.

Promised the “biggest armor customization” if anything it’s sad, promised Halo after 5 will have splitscreen and they flat out lied, and promised listening more to the fans which they went out of their way to make the multiplayer free to play (Horrible decision), still missing Chief’s new armor (For some reason), and they promoted that “Halo is back” But as mentioned before it was bad decision after bad decision nobody wanted a store or monetized amor/gear

A big problem with Infinite’s emblems and coatings is that 343i overstocks them with reds, blue, greens, and yellows. We’ve received like 6 grey and red coatings for just the MK VII core alone, but how many violet, pink, or brown coatings have we gotten?

I've said it countless times, but man, just do what DE does with Warframe for the love of god. Stances, colors, armor parts, etc. are usable across frames. Colors are not sold independently. They are sold as whole color palletes, which are usable on all your frames, weapons, companions and ship (not too long ago, they began adding texture customization as well). It's a great system, and it has worked for years.

Not having basic colors for armor and no nameplate customization in halo is just insane. I paid for one of the nameplates and it doesn’t even have any other palette options. 343 really needs to scrap the whole core system. We already have 7 armor cores and the ones that are gonna come out are pretty much armor dlc for cores we already have. Just make it like mcc. Make the cores full sets of new armor that you can mix and match on your spartan. Just get rid of the individual suits. That way they can still release the new cores they have planned. Put all the wacky armor and effects in the store. Make the store huge and let us buy everything individually. Let us buy old coatings and armor. They can even still keep the cool complex coatings and monetize them. I really believe they would make more money if they let us buy stuff individually.

Halo 4 and reachs armour system was the best. Reach is my most played game ever and that customisation as a teenager kept me so hooked to grind. And first time in 10 years i cant wear my colours that really disappointed me, i have lost the grind for infinite because the grind is for my pocket

At this point why continue trying fix a severely broken product why not just start from scratch. I just don't think infinite is worth investing time and resources in. look sometimes its better to take the L and focus on the next thing they could really just end up wasting all these resources in something that is not going to come back to life. 343i's problem is they never take the lessons from their last failure and correct them at the next opportunity they've been seduced into the idea of lets release a minimum viable product and address the issues later because we can. It’s my opinion 343i stopped working on cross core a long time ago and my reasoning is because they keep releasing armor cores. In what world does freedom of choice and the armor core system coexist? For what reason would they continue digging the technical armor core hole they are supposedly trying to dig their way out of by creating more cores every season?

An evolution of the coating system could be the best system we have ever gotten. Like, how rocket league handles colors. With a set of options for red and blue teams, the coatings would only affect the materials of the color. Perhaps being able to customize the accent color too, kinda like painted items in rocket league but not monetized in a perfect world

Don't wanna sound like the boomer in the room but games shouldn't be free to play live service. $60 dollar finished game with solid features should be the standard, $10-30 dlc (maps, campaign dlc, or more customization). Or a $60 finished game with solid features and purchasable (preferably via earnable in game currency, if not than just cold hard money) ALWAYS AVAILABLE cosmetics.

Great video as always but I have zero faith left that they will do anything for the community when it comes to their shop. They have proven that whoever is left is just there to keep the servers up......... I'm tired boss. I miss Halo. I miss functional games at release. Like I'm really tired.... I know its a pipe dream at this point but, I desperately want a Halo reach style credit system. It has so many benefits if done correctly. It opens up the grind factor of the game seeing how the coolest, best armors will be likely pretty expensive credit wise but, its free just play the game regularly and you can unlock it. Also I think its a good way to monetize Halo as you could make some armor purchasable for premium credits. The keyword there being "some" not all armor. I also find the Reach credit system to be very unique and that is something Halo could benefit from right now.

you know mint, it would just be nice to not have 15-20 dollar items in the store that only give you one armor skin across one or two different cores, one single gun skin for all your unsc weapons in the pack, and having us pay that much money to slide around with digital flowers coming out of our spartans ass. if i'm gonna pay 20 bucks for something and be punished for the fact of their choice of a 500 million dollar budget on a free to play game as one of the true players who bought the full game in store then they should be putting way more on the line than that. its frustrating, embarassing, and completely unfair.

Games seem to be more restrictive on what they put in. They dont want to give us options (or access of) for free so the options they offer do come out people are funneled into buying that seeing it as the only option; which it sadly is. Games arent made for gamers anymore, they have seen the profits in them and it has became corporate culture.

Their radio Silence on the topic of cross-core customization is really frustrating, they've literally still only done the bare minimum by making visors cross-core and that was back in season 2 unless I'm mistaken, 343 needs to tell the community whether it's happening or not and the longer they don't the worse they make themselves look, 343 should honestly be doing more to try and improve their reputation with the fans.
