Kind of want halo 5 in mcc so we have them all in one place. Infinite is where the new multiplayer is at now anyway so its not like 5 and mcc will be competing for populations anymore.

Plus im on pc and only played through 5 once on cloud gaming with game pass, but im not paying a montjly subscription to play games.

Seeing that you can change your background to the opening of Halo: CE (and hopefully every other Halo title screen) literally made me almost cry. That's my one BIG issue with MCC—the lack of title screens for the individual games. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but, damn if it isn't a great compromise

I hope we get custom menu music soon. Also, can they remove the poses from the game. They ruin the feel of the games. The feature is really out of place in a collection of games no younger than a decade old. The poses screen is unnecessary and makes the whole matchmaking experience a bit less enjoyable. This feature seems like it was added, not because they thought it would be good, but because the feature was already made. In fact, it received quite a bit of backlash when it appeared in an earlier flight, but they added it anyway. And it looks really bad. It uses in-game models rendered in UE4 (which accentuate the low-res textures of the old games and are inaccurate to how the models look in-game), and they just float there in static poses that don't work well with the articulation points on the models, on a flat background.

Overall, they suck. please remove them or something 343, but I will settle for a toggle.

Would anyone be able to help me with a problem? I play MCC on Steam but I play with an xbox controller. Why is it that some modes (4v4 and 8v8) have input restrictions even when you have those options disabled so I cant play multiplayer on controller. Is there any way to circumvent these restrictions either in-game or before launching?

Edit: ok I think I figured out what's up, so I've been connecting my controller via Bluetooth whereas a friend of mine uses a wired connector that changes his input device in game to controller.

Do we know what the bug fixes are? There has been this one that's been ongoing making co-op campaigns unplayable. It started on halo 2, now it's on CE and reach, I've not tested out ODST and 3 yet because all my friends testing it out gave up on it working because they had no faith in 343. Multiplayer and Firefight seem fine and unphased by this bug but new players coming to Halo now cannot experience the campaigns with others and some of them will only do it with other players rather than alone. SO this needs addressing and maybe it's wrong to get my hopes up this will be in the bug fixes but we'll see what happens

Making a CGB for the mod-supported version may end up being a tall order. To have it run as smoothly and seamlessly as possible, you'd have to create a mod sync function that downloads the custom game mods as you're connecting to the server and store them in their own cache. Not saying it's impossible - many Valve multiplayer games have this functionality for community servers - but it could be a lot of work if you have to create this function from scratch without any prior planning.

I'm so happy that 343 is back to improving MCC. Lots of amazing update has been done and still coming. There is still one thing that i really want in MCC and that is the Campaign COOP Matchmaking/Browser. If they would make that happen, i would be the happiest man alive. (Side note: I'm not lonely, i just don't have friends who own MCC 😢 )

I think the only thing that is now missing for the customisation part of this game is to be able to change the soundtrack of the menu by being able to choose amongs all the incredible musics.

I honestly have so few things on my wishlist for the mcc that i would honestly be fine with them doing one last update that is purely bug fixing and polishing in nature, and then have that be it

Thats a compliment btw. I don't even know what more to ask for. The only things i can think of is adding halo 3/reafh terminals into the terminal section in the menu, and getting mod support to consoles. Clean up the UI a bit, and thats it

The biggest thing in my mind is whether the Bungie Halo games have their original physics or Microsoft’s, but nobody ever seems to know. This is leading me to question my own sanity, as in is there even a second, different physics engine for the Bungie Halos post-Microsoft?
