HELL NO! Mods do not belong on a marketplace. This is a shady practice that's been done on Minecraft, and this has allowed people to steal maps & mods and make a profit without proper moderation, so Mojang is allowing actual copyright infringement. Plus 343 said it themselves that MCC will never have a marketplace, there was already a scare about that last year. I'm not paying $20 for a map that's probably a clickbait or worse, malware onto my xbox.

As a fan of halo for 20+ years it's exciting to see the creations made by other fans that just give a new perspective if halo. From it being goofy, to feeling like I'm on halo 2 when you start hearing breaking Benjamin in the back. Reach is my favorite and I adore this game. Completely disagree with adding price tags on mods, there is a reason paid mods were never endorsed its a PR nightmare, BUT a modded list, custom browser mod support and a officially enforced mod approval could work and its detrimental for MCC's survival, the community need to take over the direction of the game, give the keys to the kingdom to the community. give the players and the mod scene the tools to push MCC into a continuous forward momentum. mods are great but im yet to play mods with any people. i'm dying to experience mods with people at the click of a button on a customs browser please 343 prep the game for sunset. look at games like Garrys mod, FiveM and look at how these games stay relevant how these games still to this day yield massive player numbers way past their time. but for the love of god DO NOT MAKE PAID MODS A THING

Honestly Mods are the greatest thing about Halo. The Sandbox becomes endless with that idea. Yet 343 myt NOT agree sadly. They want to have the creative control and do feel that no one should be making halo but 343. But the reality is. Its the community that makes up halo. The fans. Yes. As someone who played the original Halo CE PC with the whole disc and code shit, and later switched to Halo2, 3, Reach etc on console afterwards. Ive been seeing these mods for Halo FOR YEARS and as a diehard fan since 2004 have always wanted to play them all but cant because i no longer have the means to obtain a PC and im not going to go out of my way to get a PC just for modded content.
We xbox players have been shafted for many years and all of these incredible mods deserve to be on a playlist in xbox live.

Really appreciate you speaking up for us console peasants. I actually had a similar idea as yours regarding making approved mods into paid dlc. Only concern I have is that the existence of those mods will prevent things like cut weapons, vehicles, and even levels being officially added. One of my dreams since I was a kid was to see the cut halo 2 levels added back to the game.

I would 100% pay for mods even on my pc. I would gladly pay a few extra bucks for mods that are high quality content to support the creators, and convince. dont have to move files around and whatever just buy download and play. it also means they probably won't be Removed and be open for more updates, and encourages the makers to make more giving us more and even better content.

I do not want them to sell mods no matter what. After Minecraft did that and essentially prevented modders other than ones sanctioned by Microsoft to get through which meant the vast majority of Minecraft mods that people enjoyed such as Mekanism could not be used on newer versions. If mods are coming they should be free so that anyone can use them.

I'm trying to figure out why they'd prioritize the development and testing of PC add-ons before Xbox. Like those halo online maps, why are they available for PC first before Xbox? Is it easier to update it for PC or something?
