Whats your favourite Halo memory?
Alex chavez2023/08/06(日) 11:43
When I was 4 played halo evolved and it was played on inverted my little big hands on a big controller 😂💀
Deskunderthebed2023/08/07(月) 12:24
beating halo 3 on legendary with my dad on split screen co-op
BluCheez2023/08/07(月) 12:35
I was excited for Halo when my dad told me about after seeing the demo for himself at Macworld.
Fast forward to one random day at Target, and we were excited it had come out and on Xbox, which influenced our next console choice greatly.

All through middle school and high school I was playing Halo games with my friends.

These days, I play occasionally with my nephews. The series has always had a presence in my life and I’m happy to see Infinite improving.
MLGJoe #PhilippineJucheSociety2023/08/07(月) 02:28
Playing halo for the first time in 2014. I was 8 back then. Granted it was the shitty Gearbox version but still.
Andreas Chaffey2023/08/07(月) 06:42
I had always loved the halo lore for years although I had never played the games. A big factor being that i never had an xbox or a capable pc with which to play them. I had even 3d printed and custom built
Master Chief Helmet for fun before I played the games. Several years ago I picked up MCC for pc when it was on sale and I have been in love with halo since. Halo 2 instantly became one of my favorite games all time and I don't think ill ever forget getting my first overkill in Halo 4. I've had a blast playing halo infinite, and I've been able to get nearly all my friends to join and enjoy it with me. I know this may be controversial, but as a newer member of the halo community (and younger) I do feel like 343 does a lot right. And they do tend to listen which is really good. Infinite is in a much better place than launch and it only seems to be getting better. I love your videos Mint Blitz, your my go to source for all halo news and I hope I'll see you on the game someday.
ooblah102023/08/07(月) 08:02
Me brother and I would load up the xbox, cables, controllers and Halo 3 in a bag, cross a creek and walk a few KMs to me mate's place, in FNQLD so hot as fuck and ticks and leeches but so worth it. Blessed childhood memories playing Halo 3
hoodini x koala2023/08/07(月) 07:50
Lmao that was me and my boys getting rocked in the video at 1:11 had fun playing against you mint even though we didnt stand a chance. great gameplay and content as always mate
Sir Dilly2023/08/07(月) 07:42
Reinstalled the game for the first time since launch, played with some buddies and boom, mint is mopping the floor with us in team snipers 😎 feels good to be back.

My mum and dad weren’t always happy that at the age of 10 I was playing Halo 3, but knew since all my friends had it, it wouldn’t be fair to say no.
Which is why it meant the world to me that they surprised me a with a copy of Reach on release morning
ZOBIZOB 2302023/08/07(月) 07:07
I spent thousand hours on forge world on Halo Reach with a friend. Either making bases to fight each other from miles away with the tanks, or killing each other with the huge grid and make it roll like a harvester. As there were only 2 grid, at some point one of us would hide them under water so we couldnt kill each other anymore and keep playing. These were infinite fun days !
Darker Xbreaker2023/08/07(月) 06:51
ive never been in that experience of that age of gaming. i wish i could play those days but i do look forward to the future
frumpledpigskin2023/08/07(月) 06:47
Getting old but played halo CE for a couple summers before online was even a thing. 4 Xbox 4 tvs 16 players, all my friends in different rooms, yelling at each other, going crazy. Blood gulch CTF was our fav. The good old days
Adaquariums2023/08/07(月) 06:43
My most vivid memories and best ones come from Halo! My house had an unfinished basement so it was perfect to set up for lans. I remember having superhuman strength to carry any TV back then to be able to set up as many as we could. We were obsessed with getting out the maps, super bounces, finding weird glitches that we all pooled our money together to buy a DVD player that had a record function allowing you to record directly on to a DVD. What I would do to find that thing and rewatch all of our weird moments. I wish the world didn't move so fast like it does compared to back when we were kids. Thanks for always making such quality content, and cheers 🍻
John Ward2023/08/07(月) 06:38
When I was a senior in High School 2003 I would have Halo Combat Evolved parties at my house. We ran the LAN cord and router between the upstairs and downstairs so one team was in the living room and the other team was in the den; 8 vs 8! It was non stop shouting and fun for hours. we would play well into the night. It was EPIC and some of the best times of my childhood!
gus guy 002023/08/07(月) 06:33
Playing halo reach with my mates and making infection zombies more powerful than Spartans. Also beating halo wars with one of my friends
Elf-lord's Friar of the Meadowlands2023/08/07(月) 05:58
We had a Boy-Scout all-nighter (think it was 2013) and someone brought their xbox with Halo 2 on it. I remember we all made custom funny guest gamertags like "A sack of nuts" and "the hand of God", so the game would say "You were splattered by A Sack of Nuts" or "You were killed by The Hand of God".
stateyournameplease2023/08/07(月) 05:57
I would like to see a video of you and your dad playing halo (classics or infinite) or you could stream it too :)
fmita2023/08/07(月) 05:34
My aunt was the coolest ever. We used to play split screen campaign every time I went over to her house. We had to have played halo 1 and 2 at least 200 times thru each. When halo 3 came out I was 10 and she had me come over the day it released, and surprised me with a limited edition halo 3 Xbox 360 that came with a master chief display helmet. Definitely a core memory for me, I can vividly picture my pure happiness in the moment all these years later. We played thru the entire campaign right after

I remember rage quitting bc of my older brothers supreme sniping…
Hextomb2023/08/07(月) 05:06
My best friend and I bonded over halo . We would stay up all night in his moms kitchen, playing on the kitchen tv. We would just eat snacks, play infection , mess around with forge with reach came out . Sadly he is no longer with us but he is the main reason why I still love halo and always will . Halo is much deeper than a game to me and always will be. From all the tournaments we would join in our local town, to just laughing at the ridiculous things we would make in forge , it just warms the heart and soul .
SeanMoran762023/08/07(月) 04:58
Oh man all the feels with this one! I remember Anoj and RvB and Arby and the Chief, good times!

Halo 3 was my first Halo game and I spent a ridiculous amount of hours playing campaign (still my favourite campaign) and multi player.
Chase Barcia2023/08/07(月) 04:55
My dad still plays halo with me and I’m 29. Some of my favorite memories are back when I’d get home from school and I’d hear “double kill” - he was playing and just waiting for me to get home. I will never forget and finally infinite is giving us hope to bring back the halo we remember
Synthesilver2023/08/07(月) 04:41
Hey Mint! You think you might be able to pull some strings and get 343 to give us the ability to customize our HUD opacity? Maybe being able to toggle off certain features? I play no HUD and I would love to be able to still see objectives and markers, and maybe even have motion tracker, while forgoing everything else including reticle! Fingers crossed, hoping! HA! (I'm aware this is super niche, and might not happen, but I can DREAM can't I? HA!)
động lực motivation2023/08/07(月) 04:17
I only played Halo one year ago, I fell in love with it immediately. One of the memorable moments was last night when I call my BFF to come by to do some 1v1 and some ODST firefight.
Salzwurst2023/08/07(月) 04:08
My first experience with halo was with halo infinite when my dad my little brother and me where testing out the split screen multiplayer and battling each others. It was a lot of fun
William Galvez2023/08/07(月) 04:05
I have 3 sons. We would have Halo night playing MCC for hours. Now my sons ask me about Halo lore and I get hyped up explaining everything I can remember haha. That’s why Halo and Zelda will always be my favorite gaming franchises. Link to the Past made me fall in love with games as a kid. Then years later after slowing down on playing games, Halo Combat Evolved reminded me why I love games so much again.
Nutenium Tokyo2023/08/07(月) 04:03
I've never really had friends or family interested in Halo to be honest. My dad is big on games as is my brother. But Halo just never clicked with them unfortunately. But listening to others stories does bring a smile to my face.

Being born too late to experience propper social features in games sucks and is why despite not playing much 360 when I was very young many of the games in my collection right now are 360 titles

Memory story:
>Be me
>December 2006
>Big GameCube kid, but always wanted an Xbox too.
>"If I just had an Xbox, I could finally get good at Halo 2 and Jeremy's older brother's home boy will stop dogging my ass"
>Looking in my closet for my hat, I find a clumsily covered cardboard box.
>Awestruck.jpg
>My broke ass momma bought me an Xbox for Crimmas and we both hate the holiday, but it was the best surprise ever. And now I dog on everyone in Halo.

Me and my best friend being 5th in line for halo 3 with a line a mile plus is my favorite memory of all time
MobSlicer1522023/08/07(月) 03:39
Never was old enough for halo in those days but had a lot of similar experiences with minecraft and the lego games
Utomneian2023/08/07(月) 03:35
i only managed to keep in touch with two friends from the Halo 3 era, but only just barely :( it makes me sad, but one of them (joe) has too severe of health issues to play shooters anymore, and the other guy (Ivan), idk, he's been so aloof over the years, he always seem to be jumping between consoles and PC, and various games. i did get to play MCC again with Ivan a few months ago, since he was feeling nostalgic, but it was a little bit awkward, because i had grown as a person, and he seemed kind of stuck in his late 2000s attitude, trash talking enemies and using slurs like he was still 15.

nowadays, i just been desperately trying to find new people who like Halo, but everyone has been very sparing or flaky about it so far. my hopes of find a clan that does all the stuff i like seems like a pipe-dream as well. the only Halo clans that seem to exist now are all MLG, and i don't care about pro-gaming, i just want people who wanna queue up casuals, or do Custom lobbies again. the Customs browser is okay, but i don't connect with random players as easily anymore.
Chris Julien2023/08/07(月) 03:33
Christ bless you, bro my favorite halo memory is definitely the day where two random guys joined me in forge one day and they would be my friends throughout all halo reach. I miss em man praying God blesses them
colvice2023/08/07(月) 03:31
my favourite memory was first time playing halo 2 campaign with my friend when i was 8 and saying up all night till 7 in the morning, completing the game on legendary on the og xbox the feel of halo 2 in my opinion can not be replicated by any other game theres something about the first 3 halo game that just makes me happy when i think about them
Rusty Mechanism2023/08/07(月) 03:26

Rusty Mechanism2023/08/07(月) 03:24
I remember back in 2014 me and my cuz we’re playing halo reach , he had a sniper and I had my rocket launcher we were on opposite sides of one of the maps with a red and blue base in the woods, he was scoped out and saw my username through the trees and took a shot killing me with a headshot lol, simple memory however still amazing one of many classic memories I hold
John Clegg2023/08/07(月) 03:17
I met one of my best friends on Halo 3 and he’s from Australia. No other way in the world I would’ve met him. I’ve seen his life grow and now he’s getting married so i get to be a part of that too! I also had one of my childhood friends move away in the 7th grade and we kept in touch through playing Halo together and here we are 20 years later few states apart still keeping in touch through Infinite!
Jordan2023/08/07(月) 03:16
Doing the vid masters w my high school friends was one of the wildest gaming experiences I’ve ever had & ever will have in my life. The challenges themselves were such a fun experience & then I remember the night we finished the last one, the rush of booting up multiplayer & seeing the recon armor in customization. Going into multiplayer matches together all wearing recon & katana is a flex I’ve never felt in any other game period
SS God Squirtle2023/08/07(月) 03:03
The weekend of halo 3 release getting together with the bois playing through campaign with game fuel, then playing multiplayer all weekend man. Never reach that high again.

the fact you mentioned arby n the chief. it changed my life. when jon did the tutorial on how to make machinima it started my interest in film, photography, writing, and technology. the core elements of my identity.

When halo 3 released, 13 people stayed in my home to play system link and play all night

Halo is back? That implies Halo was gone. Halo is Infinite (and I love infinite so much the gameplay is sooooo good)
JackTheCrackAK2023/08/07(月) 02:41
I remember my introduction to halo was halo reach on 360. My brothers convinced my little brain at the time to pitch for the majority of the game that they wanted, but fate decided that I would play it the most. Only brother who still consistently plays halo to this day. All because my bros wanted to not pay full price for the alien killing game :)

Sitting in the basement on the couch with my little brother. Just killing each other on Hang Em High.

To be able to play halo on the couch with my brothers again would just be everything.

I have a lot of memories from Halo, from working with a group on Machinima due to my high pitched "Squeaker" voice, to forging massive maps and life long friendships.

A core memory of mine would have been forging a large "Happy Birthday" structure for my dad and having a bunch of my friends light it up with Wraiths and Revenants from across the map. Ended up getting an extra hour of playtime thanks to that >=)
Juan Diego Cuellar Mazabel2023/08/07(月) 02:13
Back at elementary school they'd set up the computer room with machines that by default loaded up a demo version of Halo CE with the Cartographer as the only playable mission. But my best experience with Halo was in the heyday of H2: LAN with friends, BR on lockout, or Shotty swords on Midship. Such fond memories
Bodacious1172023/08/07(月) 02:11
Halo 3 was basically my first halo campaign. I beat it on legendary by myself.. still don’t know how I pulled that off, man how I wish halo was as popular now as it was during its peak at halo 3

Clone Who Punched A Droid2023/08/07(月) 01:50
Wish I grew up in that generation of Halo, or just gaming in general. The kids in my gen say that older games suck, or aren't relevant anymore. The Halo franchise is a testament to how wrong they are.
Eva 642023/08/07(月) 01:45
I didn't get started on Halo until 2019, so hearing these stories is kinda really cool. I was basically spooked out of Halo cuz when I was in middle school I had a Gamecube, and a classmate in band class kept telling me Gamecube sucked and so did Metroid Prime (my favorite game to this day) and I should just get an Xbox and play Halo. The console wars were real shit back then, so I stubbornly refused and stayed away from anything Xbox flavored. Then in 2019, the MCC drops on PC starting with Reach. Fast forward yet again to all the Bungie Halo games being available on PC and all I could think was "That guy was still a total dickhead... but yeah I see why he was so hyped about this now, this is fuckin awesome."
Austin Alvarez2023/08/07(月) 01:43

Halo was the first game I experienced online and one day I just sent a random friend request out and from that day they all become my best friends and we played custom games for hours and hours every day but my favorite memory has to be from halo reach and we were playing trash compactor and just the laughing and good time we were having I will always cherish those moments I’d give anything to just go back and have just one weekend when we were kids and experience it like we used to I love Halo and the friends I’ve made and I always will ❤️
decaf2023/08/07(月) 01:08
A Halo core memory of mine was getting Halo 3 ODST from this guy who used to work at my after-school care place and having a blast playing it later that night with my long time best friend and an xbox friend of his.
Very specifically I remember all of us being crouched outside of a room with two jackals inside, throwing a plasma nade at them and having the entire game crash 'cause of how shotty ODST's multiplayer was
I will never forget that moment
Kaden Birch2023/08/07(月) 01:02
I would often play 1v1 with my dad. I always beat him, but since my father past away 2 years ago now, these memories are now some of my most fond ones.

Best halo moment(s) for me are as follows:
- When the OG Xbox allowed to be broken to have XBMC installed and you could play with the mods, I remember making the Halo CE shoot Rockets on Sidewinder with 2 system linked Xboxes was a blast.
- finding out when I started uni that there was a secret Halo crew and (about 2013) and we have literally stayed in touch playing all the games since.
PS. I am old.

I remember a few years ago when my dad said that I was finally old enough to play halo and how exited he was to share the game with me, he is always talking about how its one of his favorite games and that its one of the best game series of all time. I also remember how disappointed he was when he found out that infinite didn't have split screen co-op because me and him up until that point have beaten all of the other games (besides halo 2 and 5) on legendary on split screen co-op. Some of my favorite memories are between me and my dad playing halo. even recently a few of my friends and I have been playing different campaigns with each other and just screwing around and having a good time. the series has been big for me and I have a lot of really great memories about it.

Man so many good memories on Halo. From 4 player split screen FFA on Halo CE and 2, to going to my best friend's house to play H3 where we would make me a new account and play splitscreen online, sharing the headset 🤣 me and my boys used to run it heavy in Reach and 4 as well, but with 5 they fell off and none of them really played Infinite, sadly. But I'm still rocking! And I still love the game and the series!
connor goonman2023/08/07(月) 12:03
My favorite memory of halo, is a whole summer.
First summer Reach was out, summer between sophomore and junior years. I had made a bunch of friends in school and on Xbox. I went out to my grandmas, so I couldn’t visit anyone. But by the forerunners I had friends in every time zone. And we played Reach constantly, from parties of 2, to whole BTB lobbies. We never played alone, never failed to laugh.
KingPolar1232023/08/06(日) 11:50
Halo 1 - I grew up really poor and a buddy in high school came and picked me up and invited me to his parents house for a LAN event. He bought me a controller to use even though I didnt have an XBOX. It was a fun time but I will never forget his kindness. RIP Kyle Hinkle
YD242023/08/06(日) 11:49
I remember reconnecting with a early childhood friend and him telling me all about halo and fire fight and campaign etc, I said sure yeah let’s hand out I’ll try it out, at the point halo reach just came out and I’m 15, I don’t own a Xbox or anything, go over that day and fall in love with the halo story, fire fight and I remember going home and not being able to think about anything else for weeks, I ended up buying an Xbox from a friend and borrowing the copy of halo, after I found online multiplayer and in the next couple of months I had tons of friends online and even a clan. Halo will always have a special place in my heart.
Mitch Mazur2023/08/06(日) 11:48
Both my dad and my little brother would always play split screen together, ever since Halo 3 and up until Halo 5. It was like a tradition, with every new game we’d play through the campaign and then verse each other in PvP. My brother and dad were super competitive with each other, while I just tried to make sure all parties were having fun. My personal favorite experience with halo was playing Halo 3: ODST firefight, lost platoon, and just go for as long as we possibly could. Once Halo 5 disrupted the tradition we haven’t done any of that since, no matter how much I tried. I guess all good things must end
Mitch Mazur2023/08/06(日) 11:50
Lost Platoon with my dad I should say

Hi Mint,

Love you videos, dude. I have been playing Halo for 22 years now, and remember fondly of my mom taking me to buy Halo 2. I’ll never forget beating it for the first time and hopping over to Xbox Live and the multiplayer side. Some of the best memories I have in gaming were just messing around in lobbies and trying to see if you could glitch/get out of the maps just because. Was truly a golden time and I hope that we see those days with Halo again in the future!
DontAsk65112023/08/06(日) 11:40
I played halo 3 odst with my uncle from 3-5 years old. I lost him to gang violence and supposedly the game too. Back in 2020 I found it in a cabinet with everything still in it. Sergeant Johnson preorder bonus and all. It’s still my favorite halo, feet first into hell uncle t, love you man
Master Chief2023/08/06(日) 11:36
Halo infinite looks silly, bland and generic like a kids game, unlike bungies games.
Ian2023/08/06(日) 11:34
This video reminded me of all the wonderful memories I’ve made over the years playing with my friends and family. My family would have a big Halo LAN party several times a year when we were younger and we even still do them once a year now. We pretty much exclusively play Halo CE since the rest of them never played much beyond the first game, but it’s always a blast. We have pizza and play late into the night. I love Halo and I love this community.

Halo 2 split screen with my cousins is my fondest gaming memory from my childhood.
Also, Arby n the chief mentioned 🙌

I remember in 2016, I was in 2nd grade, my dad decided to show me the true potential of my Xbox 360, he brought out the Halo 3 disc, and booted it up. We played the Halo 3 campaign together until 2:30am. We finished it all in 6 hrs. And so began my love for halo, and reach multiplayer. Then they shut down Xbox live for the 360. I remember trying to play with my cousin. We didn’t know what had happened. We were so crushed. My parents wouldn’t buy me a newer Xbox either. Split-screen firefight with my brother was still as good as ever. Then my brother passed away. My cousins and family came together and bought me the new X/S with the Ultimate game pass. Now me and my cousin can play anytime.
Adolf_hitman2023/08/06(日) 11:14
In the summer a bunch of family friends would come over. We would all go play 4 screen reach multiplayer on spire. Usually played swat ffa and the occasional juggernaut.
Jake2023/08/06(日) 11:14
One of my best memories is from infinite. My brother was wondering who Teash is since there’s a plasma rifle with that name in h5 and a location named after him in infinite. I unironically said “he’s the MLK of brutes probably”. Turns out its a moon
Isostrike 162023/08/06(日) 11:12
I remember the first time I played Halo was in like 2010 when I was 4 or so. I was playing with my dad and I could still remember getting lost in truth and reconcil and him advising me to use the covie bodies to tell where I’ve been.
Jordan Yates2023/08/06(日) 11:10
Halo is my favorite, it makes me want to cry seeing its state. I hope it makes a comeback and makes as much as an impact on others as it did to me

The 1st night playing Xbox live for the first time was with halo 3. Free for all on guardian. My love for online gaming and halo was born. The ranked matches the customs such a great time. Also one of my favorite halo moments besides playing was experiencing the halo classic event in st Louis in 2019 watching the pros and legacy players with the bros.

My favourite halo moment was when I discovered the game. I started on halo infinite and have loved it ever since . I remember getting an Xbox for Christmas just after it launched and playing BTB split screen for hours on end with my brother was just absolute fun. Ill never forget the first day I played it

my first ever game halo was with my twin brother as we played through reach together on split screen as we imagined ourselves as each members of noble team onto the multiplayer being the two squeakers in customs but always having a good time no matter what

I do not normally write about my feelings to other channels but, this hit me hard. Not a sob story.

I never really had "friends" until my freshmen year of high school. Until Halo 3 came out. Then this one dude noticed I was looking towards them and said "you play Halo?" I said "yeah." Exchanged gamertags and on that day; that dude is my "brother." Graduated high school together and gained more friends all because of Halo 3 and Reach. Like jayus man! I never knew I would be able to host lan parties in my three bedroom apartment with 12 people in a small room. Fuuny enough. We still get on Halo MCC and that "magic" returns. We scream, laugh, and ball up. Even though we are all in different points in our lives. When we all load Halo 3/Reach (on the MCC) it's like time traveling.

Bro! I remember all of us doing the mad dash to the nearist gamestop for ODST. We all joined a partychat for the Reach Beta. So shoutouts to my brothers!

I do hope they see this. I also would never imagine video games brining people together and creating life long bounds.

Late nights chatting it up full lobby... Halo 2

Super jumping on Headlong.

Just chatting about random things. The absolute best times in halo 2 for me.

I remember before I had ever had Xbox live me and my friend would stay up for hours playing on Master Chief Collection campaigns, custom multiplayer, making crappy one off forge worlds, and finishing it all off with playing with our halo mega blocks figures together. Boy do I sure love Halo.

For me it is probably how I ended up getting into Halo. I was around 4/5 at the time and my mum was playing Halo CE on the original Xbox. I asked if I could play and she sat me on her lap and gave me the controller. I can't remember much past that besides another memory when I was like 7 of always getting my older brother to defeat Tartarus as I was scared of him

Halo has always had a very unique and fun group aspect to it, hope to see more features that can foster that! Keep up the good work 343 I will always play!

Halo CE PC - Duck jump above enemy rocket. Then turn around and shot a rocket. Best Neo-esk halo dodge I ever pulled off.

My best friend and I became friends because of Halo. We were both in high school and in class I forgot to silence my phone and the halo theme song started playing. He looked at me and asked “Is that Halo?” I said “Yes” and he said “We are friends now”. So for the next 4 years of high school we would invite friends over to his place and play Halo.

My mom had work early in the morning around 5am so she would drop me off early at my best friend's house right before work. My friend lived right by our middle school so we would play Halo 2 for every morning for like 3 hours before our first class. I miss those days

My first halo experience was in high school (2012). Someone had a ripped copy of the Halo CE demo on Mac on a flash drive, and everyone passed it around so it was installed on all the computers in the computer lab. This lead to 16 person LANs on Blood Gulch after school for about 40 minutes, before the lab closed at 4:00 PM. Looking back im only appreciating now how good we had it and what a cool experience that was
