I just recently switched to Fibwe optic (Optimum) gateway 6 modem/router and holy crap it’s like ping/ Latency doesn’t exist anymore. 11-14MS every game now compared to 40-60MS with standard internet!
-it’s like I went from a 65” 60Hz tv to a 65” 120Hz tv, I’m like Trying to adapt to its responsiveness!

And speaking of campaign 343 has literally FORGOTTEN IT. Whenever I play campaign every thing is completely different especially weapons damage and accuracy.
Dont get me wrong I’m happy it made it easier for 343 because they didn’t have to “Test” the campaign each time there was an update for multiplayer but 343 NEVER said they would leave it out to dry.
Just load your campaign and use the BR for example, I guarantee you will be severely pissed off for 343 completely abandoning campaign. It has had an update since they converted and incompresssd the campaign for multiplayer!!!

infinite is still broken as hell. I mean on PC i dont have desync as much in the last couple of days, but my queue waiting time is >20min sometimes. Activating an XP boost and not finding matches is a new predatory way to get people wasting their stuff to buy more in the shop.

I beat the game on legendary without any speed running. It was a total pain in the a$$. But I still don't see much advantage in beating the campaign with respect to multiplayer. That would be great.

I am not a speed runner but remember trying these glitches when they came out with the game.
It took allot of tries/skill to replicate and added a hugely fun element to the game!
My biggest issue with 343 is that in striving to make the "perfect" Halo games they remove allot of the character, allot of what goofy fun to tick boxes.
If you're patching a bug that most players simply won't discover without looking for it, let friends share and enjoy it together. Coil jumps, tank gun, invincibility.. if you must, notify the player that if they use these exploits achievements will be disabled for that run, but please, let us share and enjoy the game!

This looks, and sounds like an incredibly inept development team made a garbage product with an insane amount of glitches. NOT A GOOD THING LMFAO. Watching this video reminded me of playing $1 Steam games. They are all like this. Turn left unexpectedly and the level crashes allowing you to bypass hours, not a good thing by any measure Jesus Christ! In games like Mario Kart you had to be an insanely accurate speedrunner utilizing I frames and unknown routes, in halo you bump into a wall, sad for all. This is not speedrunning lmfao, this is a glitchy mess of a game being played by fanbois.

devs certainly were not confused, and certainly no spaghetti code on this one. And its pretty simple if you know how the engine works or know all other games before. Often they used a standin weapon model to fire shots offscreen. F.e. when Kat was shot in reach there is a floating focus rifle outside of the map that is firing this shot. So knowing this, to now have the Artillery in Infinite fire the projectile they put invisible guns there and just forgot to flag it as not usable by the player. thats all.

Why remove these skips? They dont hurt anyone. Its a single player and when talking about speed running which has a huge community in Halo and always has, said community can create rules on what is allowed and not allowed for a speed run to be considered official. The only thing that probably should be removed was the pelican as that straight up allows you to skip every mission and get to the end of the game but again just leave that up to the speed runners to decide if its a valid strat or not. 343 just has to interfere. Wouldn't surprise me if they remove the previous patch from circulation. Meaning only those who already have it installed will be able to play it.

Back in the Halo CE and Halo 2 days the website high speed halo tracked speed runs. I briefly had the record on outskirts in halo 2 after finding a slightly faster way to run across the top of the map. I recorded the video on a vhs player and mailed the vhs tape to whoever ran the website. Outskirts was probably the easiest speed run map. Whoever has the record on the library in CE was one bad mfer.

I miss alot of the old glitches. Without the fusion coil and missing skips, I've gotten my time below 2 hours, but I hated how the "official" speedruns banned the use of skulls. It felt arbitrary af that the tank gun and invincibility glitch were free game but using an intended mechanic of the game voided the run from counting at all.

I miss the pelican glitch, but thankfully there is another easy way to force the player into the multiplayer pelican and even phantom to drive both, which is cool.
