For the record, I think halo 2 anniversary’s multiplayer maps have some of the best visuals in the series. The backgrounds are easily the best. None of the others come close.

My biggest concern with folding the older Halo titles into Infinite is mainly where they say "customization" I really don't want to have the Infinite payment system on these older games, especially Reach.
And another issue I fear they WILL do is given that 343 has constantly demonstrated their unwillingness to give playable Elites, I fear they will REMOVE them from the previous titles when they fold them into Infinite and that would reeeeaaallly suck.

While an interesting concept, I would much rather prefer that they don't try to recreate all the previous halo games in infinite. Not only would that invalidate TMCC's purpose, it'll also result in a case of putting all your eggs in one basket. Now practically all halo games success would be dependent on infinites success. I think they are better off simply adding new vehicles, weapons, characters to infinite for it to be its own MP instead of attempting to recreate the old, which i feel could be riddled with bugs and even god forbid MTX.

I'm all for it if they can actually get it right, and as long as they don't bite off more than they can chew. Recreating every Halo's multiplayer in Infinite on top of maintaining the base game would be a monumental task to say the least.

If 343 plans on adding classic maps and modes to Infinite, they need to increase the jump height to 120% and slow down movement acceleration to 80% to get that classic feel. I hate having to clamber in the current remake maps because of the low jump height.

halo infinite graphics are trash compared to halo 5! gameplay feel & smoothness also WAY WAY better in halo 5! time to move on from infinite. the game is trash. only cool things is customizing armor but they f**cked up with the color palettes! terrible idea! & they way over charge on price! &&& they should sell the items that were in events for free. such as cyber mohawk! i’d easily pay $50 to them to get that, but they don’t offer that as an option. dumb idea on their part. again halo infinite is the worst halo game ever made it’s trash. they need to focus on the next one.

I love the older maps and modes and mechanics. It would be awesome to blend those into the new Infinite system. Conversely, I have read that they are thinking about switching to the Unreal Engine in the next game release. UE is a superior mechanics system that’s super flexible and expandable and already debugged. It’s also free, turnkey modules and paid with a royalty economy system based on actual sales, which make the upfront cost a lot cheaper. Of course, the switch could just be a rumor.

The part that concerns me is that it will have the customization of Infinite. Which of course means they aren't pulling an elite out of their hat. Yet, I would argue, it wouldn't truly feel like Halo 3 if you didn't occasionally run into our split-jawed friends. As for the rest of it, I would genuinely be well and truly in favor. I'm in the minority that actually enjoyed the loadouts of Reach and 4, and how armor abilities worked in them. Those added a lot of genuine fun.
For me, I would love to be able to go back to my beloved covenant carbine - not as an item that might sometimes spawn in a forgotten corner of the map, but as my go-to, non-power-weapon, precision weapon (a role it's had for me from Halo 2 through 4.. I loved that damn thing), while blasting through hordes of Banished in a pseudo-Spartan Ops-like Firefight; truly make it a definitive Halo experience as was promised.

They not only couldn't. They literall wouldn't maintain the feel of old Halos. They're like a child who wants an adult sized plate when they just can't physically handle it. They'll release a broken pos. Players will say "Hey this is a broken POS." 343 will say "No, you just aren't playing it right. We actually fixed all these things you used to like and made them our way." Then process to kick dirt around for a few years until it is at last playable. Then with a dwindled population: "Hey guys, this didn't have the reaction we expected. How about we do it again?" AND repeat.

I think the MCC is okay as it is. I hope there is at least one more campaign I see with at least Steve Downes and Jen Taylor. For some reason, I don’t think that I like the idea of Infinite becoming a game hub. If the MCC ain’t broke, don’t fix it is my opinion.

Halo Infinite WAS a reboot. That campaign literally didn't feature ANY character that existed in the entirety of the lore except that one Blue Team guy and the Chief. Literally everything else, even THE boss of the Banished, were swapped out with a reskinned allegory that served the same functions yet have zero narrative allure.

Bring the MCC MP and campaigns to infinite, sharing cross battle pass progression for each game. But keep the dev load for developing infinite. If they could pull it off while maintaining the feel of every individual multiplayer experience, it could be very fun and maintain a constant level of fidelity across all the Halo titles. However it would require reusing a lot legacy resources/features that made each game iconic (playable elites for example). I'm not entirely confident that 343 will be as faithful to the original content, at least to the standard that long-time fans would expect.

Not sure how I feel about it. We already have the MCC, which is just as easy to launch and play. I can see it as a way to earn career progression among all titles. I’m not sure of their plans, I think they said that they are using unreal 5 engine for their future halo games. Infinite is in a good spot right now, firefight is kicking ass and I think it’s time to make QoL changes and full steam ahead for the next Halo game.
