Played it on the gamescom, it’s crazy fun. Fast paced gameplay, going through rooms/arenas providing you with new different skills/upgrades each time, funny dialogues with the death himself. A few performance updates and it’s a banger

I played the demo I think it needs way more enemy variety and allow for multiple weapons to be carried at once to break the repetition of shooting the same gun over and over. Maybe 2 guns each run. Melee only enemies seem like a waste since they will almost never catch up with you due to your speed and dash, so maybe put them around ranged-based enemies so the player has to juggle the ranged enemies while also evading the melee dudes. Their melee swing should be faster too their wind up is pretty long from what I saw, you can easily just walk away while they're preparing to swing. There can be weaker enemies whose purpose is only to run and swipe at you like the green dudes, but the stronger melee enemies should be more of a threat. These weaker enemies will not be a problem on their own, but when coupled with other enemies they can become a threat. Level design also plays a role here since claustrophobic areas can have them easily corner you. Also the dash needs a sound effect and some on-screen effect to make it feel better and more natural. It would have ran just fine if it wasn't for the stuttering when I entered new areas, I ran it with a 3070 + Ryzen 5 5600x.
Here's some generic enemy suggestions:
Spitting type of enemy - enemy that shoots projectiles that leave damaging puddles on the ground.
Summoner type of enemy - an enemy that hides within a location and spits out weak mobs until destroyed.
Flying type of enemy - a hard to reach enemy that shoots projectiles. if you get it to melee distance, it will cower in fear, so melee distancing them could be an advantage.
Hound type of enemy -a demonic dog that causes bleeding for a short amount of time, gradually lowering health. melee only.
Gunslinger type of enemy - a firearm wielding enemy. dangerous, but meeting one could be a good thing if you're looking for weapon parts for the workshop.
Stronger versions of enemies can begin to appears as you progress, which provide better loot, but a bigger challenge.

We are currently trying to get to the bottom of why this is happening. Some people have great performance with the same hardware that others see problems with. A shader compilation fix is also coming ASAP, which should also help fix stutters!

Guys, what's up with the incredibly anemic recoil on those guns? It's THE most important way to sell how powerful your guns are, and those barrels are barely moving. It feels like they are farting, instead of spitting arcane energy and hot lead. Also, scale up those muzzle flashes FFS. They are only visible for a few frames, let the fire roar! No mater how many additional layers of gameplay you have, if the guns don't feel good to shoot, people wont enjoy your game.
Also, for bonus point read up on how Half Life deformed their gun models so they look better in first person perspective.

The music was taken from the soundtrack of the game! The composer of Elder Games is also its founder and Soulslinger's lead designer, Ede Tarsoly.

if you make it go off in a good story I think you have a good recipe there now, of course, it's still probably if you are in Purgatory and you reload like that I can understand but I will suggest making it a little bit less flashy it will draw a lot of frames and it will be not visually pleasing after the 100th time in my opinion cuz if you have a lot of monsters running towards you you want to be able to see who is the priority which monster I'm not criticizing you I'm trying to help but if you manage to make it Co-op and add a good story you can have I would say at least 7 years run
