This works on official servers and works for any skill. If you don't play multiplayer, you can just have a friend join your singleplayer world temporarily to set this up. Although this trick doesn't really make that much of a difference in end game content, it does open up a lot of fun options! Let me know if you tried this and it added to your enjoyment of the game. Although they'll probably patch this in the future, it's fun to see the possibilities!

After getting two, switching one of them doesn't switch both, for me. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

@@PalworldRaids Hello, I am trying to figure this out. I am also able to the the first part (same skill on postion 1 and 2) But than I can not switch both of the skills like you did. Is your friend the whole time in the skill settings of the pal or is there a part he quit the settings? What about you? Do you quit after setting up skill 1 and 2? I am not sure what exactly I have to coordinate with my friend.

After getting two, you (host) select skill #1 and swap it to the desired skill - Friend (guest) select skill #3 and swap it to the desired skill - this will result in x3 of the same skill - you both need to open the menu at the same time and then select that same skill, if you are out of order it won't work

@@Pong_Mayo I actually didn't test silvegis shield spam, I just know the skill is very bad dps wise, and the charge component puts it in dangerous situations... they need to rework the skill

Against most targets yes, fast cooldown too. Neptiliuus new unique skill is good too, but slower and much lomger cd

Can't get it to work for all three slots for some reason. I"m on a private server (I'm hosting from the same pc I'm playing on). My friend and I can set two slots to the same skill but if I try to change either one of those afterward only that one slot changes, not both. Still big cooldown buff with two being the same just weird the other part of this glitch to get all three wont work for me.

@@PalworldRaids Forgot to reply and tell what made it work for us, we put the pal in global palbox and loaded into a normal save instead of the private server. We were able to get all 3 skills to be the same doing things that way.

It works, follow what we did on the video- the second part is You change skill 1 to what you want to copy, your friend changes skill 3 to what you want to copy

while its nice finding these things out i personally wouldnt use it as its clearly not intended and the game can be easily broken already by using intenden methods

There is sure to be someone out there who makes a master copy of each pal and triple combo you can currently make and they will eventually be distributed to those that want them through trading.
Even once they patch it, they might decide to not force swap moves on Pals that already have duplicated moves, in a similar fashion to how once they fixed the Tower Boss catching exploit, they still let people keep them and didn’t remove them from anyone’s Palbox.

So there something that i wonder, Is there is skill with a short enough cooldown that the pal would cast it instantly after the first cast.
Effectively have it be their new primary attack.
And if it exists, which would be the best new primary attack.
Since it´s all about dps, having a small time window where the pals are doing their basic attack instead of a cast (because they see it´s on CD for the next 0.002 sec so cast basic attack to not "waste time") is kinda a big deal.
So that got me wondering, what would be the attack with the fastest CD, fitting animation, and no basic attack inbetween each cast while still doing good or even meta dps, if it exists.
But even if it doesn´t exist in a meta dps sense, i´d probably still pick it if it´s A tier instead of S because it´s just so much more satisfying having a pal actually constantly doing dps rather then unloading and then doing a whimpy basic attack because AI cannot wait for a split second to cast another spell.

Thanks, You can enable multi on your world and have someone join you and set it up, you can also share those pals with them with global pal box. It’s more a fun thing than anything else, no doubt they’ll patch this before release (assuming they can)

What's crazy to me is that this glitch seems to have uncovered an unfinished, intentional mechanic. Why else would having multiple of the same skill on a pal reduce its cooldown? If it was an ordinary bug, then you would think the cooldown would be the same as having just one of the skills equipped.

My guess is that the code probably is set to lower the remaining cooldown for each equipped active skill by the time delta, but doesn't check to see if it's already been lowered for that skill. So when three instances of the same skill are equipped, it lowers the remaining cooldown by the time delta three times. Could still be intentional, though.

Also showing these glitches as often as possible, helps the devs to spot them to either fix or maybe even legitimize and balance it into an actual mechanic.

This bug seems pretty easy to fix tho. Probably even if you hold a 3x holyburst it will act like having only one before we get a new raid boss,
