You couldn't be more wrong about SBMM. You struggle in all games because you aren't very good (I'm not being a dk). I see this all the time. I was playing with a .6kd the other day and he said there is no such thing as SBMM. He said all lobbies are sweaty. He's just on the lowest skill level the game has to offer. When I played black ops 4 it was pretty casual on PC. I usually scored 70 of my teams 100 on TDM. After MW2019 you aren't doing that anymore... I would drop nukes. That's almost impossible now without reverse boosting...

I think sbmm is a problem but it's also the talent pool has increased since 2007 OG cod. There's way more people playing games now then back then. I remember playing the cod for the first time in 2008 I went 4 kills 34 death I got better getting my kd from 0.25 to over 2.00 kd but then every cod that comes out my kd slowly went down year after year until I just quit .

"The hype is gone" or "they missed their chance to launch" are the most moronic smooth brain takes I've seen in general. No shit the hype has gone down on a delayed game, people are not saying anything even remotely smart there. And guess what? Whether they like it or not, when the game actually comes out that hype is going to inevitably get re-ignited. With potentially even more hype than ever before, if not about the same amount. Especially with the sad state of other FPS games in the genre like MWIII.
As for the no SBMM still resulting in sweaty lobbies, it'll simply not be as bad as COD. With COD you constantly & consistently get those sweaty lobbies, but at least with XDefiant you will get easier lobbies sprinkled in, similar to how COD matchmaking used to work in older titles. Now is there a higher percentage of sweats nowadays compared to back then? Definitely. But that still doesn't change what I just said.

Have to admit that in the good old days there were less streamers out there you couldn’t really know how to play properly at the game having only YouTube and most YouTubers were just ok not pro player and the hardware where we were playing on wasn’t like what we have now. PS3 and pcs were could hit 120-144 fps at most. Now we got kids with 4090 doing constant 240 fps if you play like 3/4 hours per day it’s impossible not to become good. That’s my opinion. Twitch ruined games all streamers are sweaty or comp players, ppl will always (I do personally so I’m not fully judging who does it) try to imitate them. I try to improve my gaming but I also have a life outdoor I have university so it’s impossible for me to train 1.5h per day on aim lab with exercises and improve my aim, even if I could do it I couldn’t care less

I also think this game isnt just meant to be a "cod killer" a lot of halo, battlefield, rainbow, overwatch and fps fans in general will most likely jump on this for fun. For both the fact that its free and taking into consideration the lack of enjoyment myself, friends and the wider community have voiced from other triple a devs. And as far as casual matchmaking I must say cs2 casual is, for the most part, very casual of course you get the people who have crazy hours but it certainly feels a lot more a kin to a match made lobby 10 years ago than to modern cod standards. If the player base is large enough and matches truly are found by best network i think it'll be a safe bet, and if it isnt i suppose we still get a new fps game that didn't cost $110

The only way to play casual COD now is to NOT play the game during its main cycle! I’ve gone back to Vanguard and the player base there is so laid back now that I can actually play casually and have fun for 2 hours . So yes you’re right it’s not just the SBMM it’s the PLAYERBASE that makes these games sweaty AF.

I think it will fail but I disagree that an SBMM-free game will be more sweaty. I was playing mw3 this weekend when they had free trial and removed SBMM from those game modes. It was indeed sweaty at times but it was still not as stressful as SBMM lobbies. And I also variety, I could play against a team of good players and bad players and it felt awesome to be fair. This game will do well based off of cod falling apart. Sales cut almost on half, not including refunds, and people quitting. I didn't personally spend a dime. I feel like this is actually a better release time, with people leaving cod and many of us looking for a new fps.

Then youtubere pretty much have there own community page aswell
And so everyone kind of gets to know everyone

The debuffs in COD though, weakened shots, deliberate lag/high ping, bullets going through players etc are cancerous, these are much worse than being put in a lobby with similar skilled players (although that too can get boring)

My match are back to crap again but when S2 launched, for 2 days, my games were all great. The players were all the same. It just felt like someone turned down my difficulty dial and I wasn’t being throttled nearly as hard as normal. I still had hard match and my KD didn’t go up or down but the games were actually a lot of fun to play. Even the losing matches.
On the flip side my kid’s account was the exact opposite. I couldn’t even play well in his matches and I’m a better player than he is. The pacing, spawns, ping all horrible. He had no aim assist compared to my account. I got so many hit marked using the same setup with the XKR Stalker sniper riffle. Many of them headshots and all on small maps. They 100% are making this game play horrible for many of the player base.

Man I have to disagree. There are still casuals out there that play video games. A majority of the player base is casual. That’s why activision is trying so desperately to protect them. If the vast majority were all sweats they would have no need for sbmm. Most of you haven’t played a game without sbmm in so long you don’t even realize how bad most people are at multiplayer games

I don’t know man, I played the Finals no SBMM and I smack kids constantly. Like BO2 was kind of sweaty but the way to counter that was just to get friends. I gotta a lot of those, so when Xdefiant drops ima run through these kids just like them sweats in BO4😤

There's an awful lot of chatter about SBMM being nerfed, or turned off during the free to play days. Lots of people are saying the lobbies have been a lot less sweaty.

While I agree the ttv kids are annoying. It’s impossible to sweat sometimes and chill out other times. When these kids realize they can’t do that every game like in cod they’ll quit and the rest of us OGs will have fun. I’ll make that bet 8 thots
