I think the finals is a big problem for xdefiant. The specialist abilities were my least favorite part of bo4, and theyre so prevalent in xdefiant. Ill play it but i dont see it become a game i play often

I gotta keep it real, as someone that likes the game and has played since the closed Alpha, there is just no shot this game succeeds now.
When it comes down to it, there is no way I will choose XDefiant over MW3 when they have competing battlepasses or whatever. It had a shot during MWII, but MWIII is simply better than XDefiant.
I also fear that they will focus too much on esports, rather than unlocks and customization, and the game will feel content starved and sterile.

Personally I had a bunch of issues running the game in the play tests on a low end system. If they would’ve launched the then, I wouldn’t have played it. Glad they’re making sure everything is working properly.

The comments show why I have zero sympathy for COD players complaints and that Activision knows exactly what its doing. Spend all your budget on Hype/marketing, Get the game out no matter the actual state of the game , fill with microtransactions, make cash while you semi-update game rinse and repeat. Players feel burned by the last game but don't worry they same people that cry all year long about it will fall for the cycle next year. Then you have a dev that really wants to make a good game as bug free as possible and fix things and its too late for them. COD players get the game they deserve every year.

I think this will release at a right time. I would hope that it’s a little later like March where cod is kinda dying off got the year and I think it will be refreshing for people who are fatigued from the sbmm. I’m excited for this game and can’t wait to play the escort gamemode!! Safeguard was so great in bo3/bo4 and I miss it.

Something I’m excited about for Xdefiant is that since it’s a Ubisoft multiplayer game, it’s likely to get supported for years down the road. I mean just look at games like Rainbow Six Siege and For Honor as examples.

ive been looking forward to the full release and am kind of disappointed that i didnt get to see it this year. and i know that the playtest clients only offer a limited snapshot, vertical slice etc. but i did feel like if xdefiant did have some more time to cook, it couldnt hurt. either way as long as everybody is given the resources and support to accomplish what they set out to do, i dont mind waiting. salute to the devs hope they are treating you ok over there and not making you eat out of a dog dish
