@@HarrietNToland Yeah, depends where you look I guess. In a lot of the CoD cords I am in, there is a lot of XDefiant haters. And even people who seem in support of XDefiant like NerosCinema drop "XDefiant is Dead" baity vids. But that's more for views than an actual opinion they hold. Overall I think XD has a strong community considering the game isn't even out.

problem this game have been in development for like 4 yr or more. Before it was going to be called Tom Clancey Xdefiant and then they took it away. first beta for xdefiant was like 3 or 4 yrs ago. Plus never trust when they give released date because ubisoft they never make a deadline.

Crazy cos COD is just killing itself and xdefiant is focusing on being a good game, as long as launch is smooth and we get consistent updates it’ll be a amazing time, ranked play an competitive modes will make xdefiant best fps rn. People just love 2 hate but the fact is COD is killing its own player base and I’m here for it

how is cod dying? use actual logic please. because the steam charts say otherwise, its the most active fps shooter besides CS2 and R6 Siege and thats including ps5 and xbox. you know what is dying? Battlefield 2042, Battlebit Remastered, Hell Let loose, insurgency sandstorm, halo infinite. xdefient will be no different.

Honestly xd still not getting love for the right reasons sometimes, I liked it for not just sbmm but for like you said the game isn’t built for campers and you can actually see opponents and maps have good color and structure to them

XDefiant will still do good mainly because so many people hate MW3. It feels like $70 DLC regardless of what people say. The only thing that hurt XDefiant is not beating The Finals to release. They are different though and both free to play so they can both thrive if the developers release content and update issues regularly. I mean The Finals addressed aim assist within a month and Apex Legends still hasn’t done squat about it. Now if The Finals adds team deathmatch and other modes similar to XDefiant then that would be interesting to see which thrives more. I mean Ubisoft ultimately is behind XDefiant and they aren’t exactly the best

I think the destruction in The Finals is cool. But the gunplay feels subpar. Worse than any other FPS currently IMO. Just random jitter. And having multi-teams 3v3v3 or 3v3v3v3 makes the game IMO not competitive, so it lacks there too. (I think BRs are also not truly competitive.)
Overall I think XDefiant will do fine. MWIII won't hurt it and The Finals won't either. If anything it'll be Black Ops next year and if the rumors of a Bo2 remake are true for 2025, that'd prob hurt XDefiant too.
