@@chadchallengethey didn’t “add” it, it’s literally just a driver level frame generation,and of course applying man power to optimizing the game works, they have terrible code for the game, how can a game with subpar graphics run absolutely terrible, first is the servers, the servers literally push your fps to be lower, fixing server optimizations would solve a giant piece of why tarkov runs terribly, your argument about unbaked cake is irrelevant, since they are about 1 to maybe 2 wipes out from going 1.0, were in the “letting the cake rest” stage, if anything that’s what their priority should be.

...Adding the tech >is< optimization lol. Also, optimization isn't just some magic where you apply manpower and it automagically works. Most importantly, the game is not feature complete, so optimizing now is like frosting an unbaked cake.

I cant get the same results on a higher spec pc. IDK why. I guess Im missing something. EFT often gets stuck in 84fps cap despite the fact that Im not capping frames. This 84 fps cap come on and come off on its own in raids. Very frustrating.

Appreciate the informative videos. Curious what would you recommend as my next upgrade to gain more frames. Currently running 5900X, 16gb 4000mhz cl16 and a 3090. game on 1080p basically lowest settings. I'm debating just downgrading to a 5800X3D for that cache, but curious if there would be a difference since my ram is already decently overclocked? Also considering getting 32gb of decently fast RAM on its own or with combination to the X3D, would that help in any way?

there would be a big difference. 5700X3D is the best drop in upgrade for any AM4 user NOT on X3D. Here's my 5950X vs 5800X3D: https://youtu.be/f3Ugn09pTWA. All the vanilla 5000s perform about the same in Tarkov, so you could expect a similar performance bump on the 5900X.
You don't need fast RAM for X3D either.

I played on a laptop until recently, now i'm on a 5600x plus 6800xt, 32 gb ram. hyper 212 for cpu cooling, so he's less than 55 always. still, can't get past 55 to 60 fps on streets. Any thoughts? I have been back and forth with windows and game settings, nothing seems to help

yes, it depends on the game's performance. I would only use it if already reaching about 100 FPS. Otherwise, the added input latency starts to feel bad

This is due to scav and boss AI. This is what makes the game run like shit. Streets has a TON of scavs at all times which means the map runs horrible. Anyone can test this by running Practice mode with and without scavs. Your FPS will cut in half.

Here’s a thing that I’ve been trying lately, apparently turning sharpness off in game gives you an fps boost then you can go back in to the amd driver and turn on the sharpness in there and it makes the game look great, at least on 1080p

Try turning the sharpness off all the way then turn off anti aliasing. That smooths the image more and makes it less pixelated. I have been fragging ever since i turned it off because the game isnt a blurry mess. Sharpening just cant bring back detail that is already gone. Still pretty shimmery but give it a go for a few raids and you'll get used to it. It makes spotting people ALOT easier.

I mainly play fps game and i have a 360hz monitor. Right now i have a 5800x3d, 3060ti and 32gb 3600 c16. And for cooling what cooler should i buy for the 5800x3d. Right now i have 3x 140mm intake fans, 1x 120mm intake fan and 2x 120mm exhaust fan, the ryzen is cooled with an Arctic Esport 34 in push pull configuration. CPU undervolted -30. Before with the 5600x i never went over 65°c in full load, now with the 5800x3d i reach 75 but all fans go to max and is a bit noisii. I noticed that now GPU has icresed a lot in temperature, would make sens to make spin faster the exhaust fans a bit faster so the gpu doesnt take the hot air from the cpu? Or should i just buy a 240mm aio?

Seems like my FPS is worse now that snow is gone. Tried the settings but I feel like there is quite some input lag at times, mostly when 4-6x zoomed.

great video! also there is a third party software called "Lossless Scaling" which includes frame generation for basicly any game(even old) so im running tarkov 160 fps instead of 70-80, all you need to do is put the game windowed mode and turn the software on. there is a lot of to work on tho, because there are noticeable artifacts, but still, good perfomance outcome

I’ve been skeptical of frame generation and added latency but I think you’re right. The latency is so low and the added smoothness of higher FPS can mean better connection to the game and a better gameplay experience. Keep up the great work and sharing your thoughts on gaming builds.

i did try this in the testing of FMF and thought it was good im from EU and play with someone from NA so when i think about the extra 8-12ms it dont seem a big deal when he has to deal with 120ping. it feels nice and smooth i think the problem i had with it was bushes moving and ghosting but thinking about it that may have been fsr2 causing it may have to give it another go.@@pyurologie

I was shopping around for MSI boards because I like their bios more, and I saw that I could get a b650 for like 139 used, which is very close to the b550 I was planning on getting. I might just get the 7800x3d instead if that's the case. Ram costs are similar too, ddr5 might be more worth it.
