4.6 ammo needs a pen nerf. SMGs like the mp7 should absolutely be lasers, but all pistol rounds should cap out at 32 pen max.
It’s stupid that a cheap pistol round with 0 recoil fired at 1000 rpm from an mp7 outperforms expensive rifle ammo (m855a1) that is difficult to obtain, has more recoil, and is fired at a slower rate.
It’s also very unrealistic, as pistol calibers can’t penetrate rifle rated body armor irl.
Low recoil, high fire rate SMGs don’t even need high pen anyway, as the sheer bullet hail storm will brute force through armor anyway, and it’s extremely easy just to spray around the head and hit the face. The mp7 is op, only because of its ammo.
They should make 4.6 and all the other high pen pistol ammo like AP 6.3, a good example of a balanced armor piercing pistol caliber round .

@festerpus Yes, it is designed to defeat light pistol rated body armor. 4.6x30mm ammunition is absolutely not capable of defeating NIJ level 3/GOST 4 or stronger rifle rated plates.
A plate that stops multiple hits of steel core 7.62x39 and M855 is not going to be phased by a 4.6x30mm round.
It simply doesn’t have the speed or kinetic energy to defeat rifle plates. It’s a pistol caliber round coming out of a short barrel.

@Mohammed Riadh That feeds into my point, why remove m855a1 but keep a cheaper round that is just as good, but with far less recoil, and that can be sent down range from a 1000rpm laserbeam.
It’s got to be an oversight. This gun right now with FMJ sx just shits on everything with the recoil improvements, (which I dont think should be reverted of )

Id say its still worth using mp7 even if you use the 20 round mags, fmj sx, bought at lvl 23, has 40 pen, there is literally no round at that level that is even remotely close. Youll shred level 5 and 6 armour even with only 20 rounds.

MP7A1/MP7A2 will always be my goto gun in EFT. I own the KWA Airsoft of the MP7A1 and wish H&K would just give us the CIVI version of the MP7 but oh well. I can only dream.
