Any idea why we haven’t wiped? Early wipe is the most fun and even if they don’t have as much content I don’t see the reason to not wipe. (If a gun isn’t ready then just bring the gun in middle of the wipe like we had with the revolver a year or so ago.). I suppose pmc karma, the open world thing, map update to streets and arena would all be progress , but bsg is tbh the worst big name game dev team I’ve seen. I assume it’s mostly because their Russian but I genuinely don’t know. It just seems they both hate the community yet want us to have faith in them despite constant delays and things like what they did with logical solutions. All I’m confused about is why not wipe to at least give the player base the fun early wipe on a normal schedule?

At this point, anyone who thinks release is a good thing is delusional, full release means they no longer have to work on the game. They could release tomorrow and wipe their hands of the game if they wanted to, clearly Nikkita wants to work on Russia 2028 and has had it with trying to get networking working on Tarkov.

If the game is planning to be a non-wiping game after full release, then I feel like it should take longer to level up and there should be more quests and more In general I guess. It might just be me but if you could get from 1 to 30 in 3 days or less for speed rollers then it's probably too short of a game life.

I feel like they should do something similar to Diablo where you can have a main character ter and a seasonal character where the seasonal character wipes a few times per year and maybe gets some sort of Perks every season.

I still think, if Arena comes, the best thing BSG can do is open it for a free weekend. This gets the bait out for people, lets people use their own gear and iron out any "I LOST MY GEAR BECAUSE OF XXX PROBLEM" like finding match, server crash etc. Probably with some sort of Arena sale. Then once they are happy with the live stress test they can wipe to test the early wipe impact of arena.

Arena i cant see releasing without some kind of advertising push, prolly gonna be a Christmas release and unity 2021 is a no go, they could be having issues with it bcuz it runs slower then 2019 and someone plz ask this nikky what hz tickrate there servers use, heard its like 12hz when games are 64hz and csgo is 128hz, arena better be 128 if its gonna be esports ready.

Modular chest rigs was dropped awhile ago but armor plates and hit boxes is still in if I’m remembering right. nobody I play with cares about changing pouch size and location. Arena, net code fixes, loot rebalancing for maps (ie a reason to go to interchange for example) and expanded maps are what my groups are talking about

Me and a lot of other players sell most of the good looted gear and ammo back then with open flea market. With the limited flea market there is a lot more diversity in player loadouts, so im fine with it.

@E. Wubi before flea i remember how finding pmc with vss or rsass was something extremely rare, even finding one was damn hard. Class 5 armor was also rare thing to find and wear, but back in those days rarity actually made sense, because running val and class 5 armor made you really tough opponent. You could easily destroy everyone but if you die most likely you wont be able to find same gear in months. I really enjoyed tarkov back in 2018(or 19?), hope i will get same experience on release

It's kind of the point. I don't know if you played when flea market was open but it used to be that you get flea market at lvl 10 and with the FM being open basically meta gear would be a reality for most players within a week. This is not the direction the devs want, it's not what I want, it's probably not what most players want. With the wipe structure we have now I think it's best if the game has a decent early mid and late wipe, where the early and mid lasts as long as possible.
The main thing is that the devs don't want the majority of the player base reaching meta gear in a week after wipe, maybe even a month. I agree they should try and reward PvP more because selling PMC gear just doesn't bring much money. Maybe one thing they could do is making the dogtag worth 100x the lvl of the PMC, so lvl 50 is worth 50k roubles, obviously you have to stop squad mates from being able to loot squad mate dogtags.

They need to change the raid structure. The beginning of a raid is too dangerous and the end of a raid is too safe.

Id be willing to bet you are right with the balance wipe. They dont need as long to test balance as they do features and expansions, so a shorter wipe that comes later seems very likely to me while they work on getting everything packed for .14. This is even more likely if they needed unity 21 in order to make .14 work, so why not test balance while the team works on getting everything sorted? People have been asking for the final release of the game for an age, not realising that when they release the final version the support ends, the interest of updates wanes and the game effectively dies. And don't talk to me about paid content. Interest has fallen off for the game so much that they can mop up the few waiting for full release and move on to Russia 2028. I love this game, but any mention of full release is effectively the end of Tarkov.

i think it's great that they are taking their time with developing things not only does it create hype for new content but it also gives them time to polish most features and let's be real most of the development is already on Unity 21 and they just port it back for the existing client and that pretty much causes the bugs such as the audio bug in 13.1 so yeah Unity 21 should be a very big update in terms of content and mechanics as well as polish of the overall game. and hopefully we will get a better CPU optimization Ram is understandable but CPU is like super suffering rn i have an i9 9900K ik not the newest shiniest but still an i9 and i get about 90 FPS on customs Low-Ultra settings i get the same FPS on RTX 3060Ti

@non yabiz well it has an unoptimized pre historic code and most of the entities are all on Client side instead of server side , And loading in all that loot and updating their states in real time takes a toll on your CPU the game is very CPU heavy and it's regarded as the AMD CPU game because AMD has lot's of CPU Cache(3DvCache) and is able to process more information faster , the game needs pretty much an overhaul on code and that's what they are doing, Net-code update and Engine update , I believe the game is still running on 2019 version of unity and they just migrated to it , most of the Code and server side things are still from the pre historic 2014 version.
and yeah Patch 14.0 is taking a long time and let it cook , it has a lot of features to add and optimize and i doubt the will Shove all of it together but who knows ,so instead of typing "LOL LOL LOL" try to make factual observations

i think wipe would be good and market it more as a testing phase wipe, where they roll out the new net code and see what needs to be fixed asap and what needs just balance fixing. Ever since the goat vid BSG has had a flame under their booty to fix this shiz or else we stop playing.

Not a lot of people want to reach end game when that requires going through such a busted and tedious experience. If the most severe problems EFT had were addressed and fixed, then a lot more people would want to put in the effort to reach end game. But as things stand now, the cons outweigh the pros which is why most players only stick around for early to mid-wipe.
And for all that is good, stop talking about "level" nonsense like that is something worth being proud of in the first place; it's not. Living a fulfilling life irl is something worth being proud of. Getting a raise at your job and working for a good paycheck is worth being proud of. Putting food on the table and raising a family is something worth being proud of.
Having a high level in a video game where everything is nothing but a bunch of binary 1s and 0s, and is not feasible in the physical world, is not worth being proud of. So stop trying to make it out like you being a try hard is a good thing.
Video games are supposed to be about having fun, not working a second job. Dumb Russian game devs like Nikita saying how a game EFT is not meant to be fun doesn't change that fact.

Having a high level in a video game where everything is nothing but a bunch of binary 1s and 0s, and is not feasible in the physical world, is not worth being proud of. So stop trying to make it out like you being a try hard is a good thing.

Nolan talks like the netcode changes are still upcoming. But 13.1 was released to live like 2 weeks ago. The only thing that was missing from the original road map in 13.1 is the new culling system on the old locations.
