Between those two, I would take a 3080 10GB, that is quite a powerful card still today. Newer ones are more efficient, but this thing performs at a very high level still today... That being said, yeah DLSS3.5 and frame generation is nice. I think either way you would be very happy. If you're asking which I would take, it's the 3080. But actually, with that money, I would get a 6900XT/6950XT.

I play some games when really need a lot of vram and power and where some time game dont have dlss.
Look games like strafield, Squad and other games.

3080 is more powerful, uses a lot more power. 4060ti is a little behind but not much, but way more efficient

Tarkov is a cpu ram heavy game your glu doesnt matter as much for thia game and frames.

so they are pretty much all the same. i have a question though, would an i5 13400f be a good cpu for the rx 6800 xt? i know the cpu might be cheaper but used 6800 xt's and 3080's sell for quite good prices in my area.

TL;DR i'd suggest taking a look at total cost of 13400 + RAM + Mobo vs a 5800X3D + RAM + Mobo. The CPU is more expensive, but you don't need expensive RAM or mobo to get max performance https://youtu.be/N5HQcCihtrU.
I would personally probably look for a 5800X3D setup over a 13400 but if price difference is large where you are, then 13400f isn't bad, I just think 5800X3D and 7800X3D are the best choices right now for gaming configs both in price and performance

this is the best benchmark vid i have seen on this range of cards hands down. daniel owen is good but he doesn't seem to think the lower power draw or dlss 3 with frame gen is worth the "extra" cash which is fair but you really can't compare the vram in amd and nvidia because of the differing tech. not to mention nividia is going to continue to improve on dlss and frame gen. you were unbiased as well, and you mentioned the power draw for 4060 ti as a positive as well as the fact that you understand we can tweak settings to achieve performance. youve just shown you don't need to have a 4070 ti for good 1440p performance. we're talking 400 vs 800 bucks here. by all means if you guys have the money for the better cards go for it - but don't let anyone neg you for getting a 4060 ti, reddit be damned. much love.

I have a rx6750xt and a i513400f with 32gb 4000hz and i have the issue where my cpu usage will be around 3-6% and my gpu will stick around 80 95% usage also i dont get more than 70 fps in streets of tarkov and between 90-100 on other map i dont know what is wrong (playing on 1440p with low settings)

i have 32 gb of ram a 11th gen i5 and a 3070 my ram SHOULD BE running at 3000mhz yet i dont come anywhere near these framerates in fact i dont even hit 60 fps most of the time its crazy

the 12th gen isnt gunna give you almost 100fps on average over the 11th gen man. Im getting terrible fps too compared to these results.

if you want native 1440 at 144hz, you probably need a 3070Ti or RX6800. I sold my 3070ti and am looking for 6800/6800XT deals right now.
at around the $300 level like shown here, you can get 100-120 FPS in native 1440, but you can probably push 144 level with DLSS/FSR if you don't mind using it. I've seen there are people who care a lot and some who don't, so it depends on your preference. I like DLSS and FSR personally.

I use offline mode with high AI amount for my faceoff comparisons to keep consistent testing parameters. The FPS numbers here are only generated for comparison of hardware and don't reflect the actual online performance. I make live online benches to show hardware performance.
