ARP system is probably the only thing I absolutely despise.
How is it fair to 1 v 5 preset kits, when 2 of my 5 are running TTs, and the other 2 don't get a single kill but I go 20-5 by the end of the game and we lose. How is it fair that my ARP is penalized for that? They need to make ARP based off personal performance.

i truly want to enjoy the arena but the early game at the moment just feels like the STM-9 trumps every starting class. every game ive run has been at least 2-3 stm-9's on each team. the games a day old and it feels just stale dying to the same gun seeing people on my team with the same gun hearing it being shot.

Not gonna lie, this launch is probably going to end up being a dagger for the game. By the time most people get in they will be facing players with high level kits and will just get obliterated. That might be fine for long time Tarkov players, but new casual players are gonna drop the game in a hurry.

I played for a few hours last night, no crashes, no issues getting in really, bit of noticibale desync from my view to the killcams view otherwise great gameplay. I had way more fun on 2v2 shootout then i did teamfight. Super stoked for the other game modes.

Instead of making an esport they made a casino for regular players. What a failed opportunity. I don't care about eft much anymore, but I was down to buy an esport arena game, since this engine has some of the best PVP in the shooters space. My single biggest issue is that the people who play the game the most have access first. Now that sounds absolutely ridiculous, doesnt it? Of course. But in this world where the people who spend the most time in the game, will spend that time before I, with a 2020 EOD account, and a full time job, have a chance to even touch it if i wanted to. These people will already have tier 3-5 kits while im starting with a VPO with no rear sight and no PK.
I already dont have the time to play like some people, and now i get set even further back by release and game mechanics. I think this can be solved by gear tiers. Which i believe everybody has talked about already. But i guess we will see.

Literally half of the things you mentioned are just for day 1. everthing about the balancing and everyone having the same kits goes away after the first day, I challenge you to go back to the starter kits in 3 days once everyone else has worked their way up to the good kits. The biggest thing is lack of communication on it. I can understand streamers getting it first, they are being used as cheap advertising by BSG and it is hard to pass that up, but there should of been a plan in place for everyone else. Hell I would be fine if it was fully random, but it doesn't appear to even be that.

you can have issues with the execution or not think it’s worth the money or whatever, but they were pretty transparent about what Arena would entail, including quite a bit of live gameplay footage. this also isn’t the full launch and there’s more game modes to be added.

I believe that it can make you better at pvp BUT it will not make you better at Tarkov. The uniqueness of Tarkov lies in the loot/extraction element where you have something on the line. You need to survive, you need to accomplish goals, you have purpose to move slow and methodical. Arena on the other hand only offers combat, win or lose with no loot or extract. The goals and tactics of both games are drastically different from eachother. But if pvp is what you have been wanting then Arena will have plenty.

I find it funny that it is just being released to people, yet they somehow have had cash paying tournaments already. How are they selecting these teams? Who is actually on them? How did they get access? Where was the sign up sheet? When did they offer up a chance to compete? Curious how one becomes an Arena champion when nobody else has been able to play the game. I think the main thing that is a miss in this game is in the setting of Arena itself. Tarkov is very immersive and they could have created a convincing SND type of game mode in a natural setting of bears vs USEC or PMC vs scavs etc, instead of this Galdiator type of gameplay with an announcer. this way the maps could look more like real places, small portions of the original Tarkov maps. right now the gameplay looks very fast paced and i would love if it was tuned a bit slower to be more tactical and less run and gun.

of course, paying with cold hard cash will get you immediate access to the game... but having shown your support for 6 years, by spending over 100€ into a game that wasn't finished, just because you believed in it, that means nothing hey?

It's a FOMO marketing strategy to entice you into spending 40$ to buy the standalone version of the game in hope to get in quicker. They aren't the first one to do it, and if we're gonna spit in Activision's face everytime they pull this sht with CoD (which is every release...), idk why we should exempt BSG from the same treatment.
and the worst part is that it works. If you buy a standalone Arena, you will get in, and people are buying...
Players like us that have already spent the big buck are of no interest to BSG, since they have no more money to make from us. so locking us out and forcing us to watch is the only way they'll potentially make a few more bucks...

idk, I just played 2 games and it just felt meh. Like pvp with scav kits and you still buy other kits with money etc, so why not just play Tarkov and go into factory with any loadout you want? Just felt really scuffed xD

Is Arena Actually fun to play? Don't know, haven't been able to play. Another one of the most BSGest rollouts of BSG. Only "fun" I've had is watching the streamers play...
