The climbing comparison seems unnecessarily skewed. No, Valheim doesn't have a climbing mechanic but hills much steeper than those shown can be climbed by running. Same with the walking on the edge comparison: by holding the run key and using stamina, the character can move across hills or along edges without sliding.

Valheim has HD texture pack also but the real benefit of Valheim is randomly generated map. Enshrouded has static map like Skyrim, after playing for awhile you remember every tree and rock.

Velheim is still a better game. Both have their issues but velheim is more fun to play. Also, velheim looks great even for a game made with pixels.

Agreed. In my opinion Enshrouded will never become as popular and re-playable as Valheim is. A year will pass - and Enshrouded will be forgotten as many similar games. Bcs Valheim is based on items, mechanics, food, mobs etc. taken from REAL world (and real world's mythology). And because of that a player can fully dive into Valheim's world and feel himself as a true viking, he can BELIEVE in this world's reality.
Enshrouded is based on FICTIONAL world, and that's the main issue. It may have much more better graphics, mechanics etc., but the player will never dive into fictional world based game as deep as he dives into real world based game.

Agreed. I Really like enshrouded, but art style, atmosphere and music is Valheim! Gameplay, and graphics go to Enshrouded.

valheims build engine is superior but lacks in other categories. hopefully Enshrouded doesn't rely as heavy on grinding resources, which is a big meh in Valheim (without mods)

Somehow, even with less cosmetic options, Valheim characteres look more "Viking". Enshrouded characters look like kids with muscles lol

Enshrouded is just more polished. Considering its an early beta, its better than Valhelm. Valhelm devs got greedy and stopped with any worthwhile game improvements, now their game is dead.

Its kinda hard to compare the two games, they are quite different. The biggest difference is probably the polish.

Character Creation in Valheim sucks. Hope Enshrouded can give the Valheim devs some sense of urgency to be better.

Character creation is but a miniscule portion of the game, if that's your only problem then its not that bad, the sky ain't falling chicken little. No boats in Enshrouded = unplayable lol. same logic you got there.

I noticed Enshrouded get inspiration from 4 Games
Combat = Fable
Food mechanics = Valheim
Stamina / Glider / Tower = Zelda
Recruit NPC's = Dragon Builders
BTW aside from this video comparison, this is what I noticed or they're edge for both games.

+ items can be drop on the ground
+ inventory / crafting easier to use
+ has ocean to sail
Enshrouded
+ better terraforming
+ has skill tree
+ graphics
+ compact world and fills with elements
For now I'm invested on enshrouded but definitely will play valheim again when the Ashland updates came.
