Pre-viewing comment. If these mods change the core game in anyway, they are NOT essential.
I'll edit this once I'm finished.
#1 - I'll give a .25, because it's not essential but a nice QOL.
#2 - That's a 0 because it's purely nice, not essential at all.
#3 - This is a 1, because this absolutely is essential and should be in the game.
#4 - This is a 0 because it not essential in the slightest.
#5 - 0.25 at best.
#6 - 0.5, because that is a QOL that should be in the game, but is definitely not essential.
#7 - I'll give a 1, but the radius needs to be increased for this. The mod is almost more annoying because of the range.
#8 - I'll give this a 1. Def good to have.
#9 - 1, because it should be something thats in the game.
#10 - I'll give this a 1 because this would be a HUGE QOL.
#11 - 1 for sure. There's no reason to not have a backpack, especially if it also helped reduce weight.
#12 - This one is awesome, but it goes against the core part of the game; exploration. At best I would give this a 0.5 I think, but only if it scaled with your farming skill. You shouldn't be able to put down every item, unless it's in free-build mode, which if that's the case you can have a 1. But I'm still going with 0 for this as being essential.
#13 - 0. This is absolutely not essential.
#14 - 0. Not essential.
#15 - 1. This is probably the #1 mod to have, because it simply makes sense, doesn't take away from the game at all, and only enhances it.
.25+0+1+0+.25+.5+1+1+1+1+1+0+0+0+1 = 8/15.
This video is a 0.5.

I personally feel like creature level and loot controls isn’t that good. It takes a while to fine tune the settings to your liking and even then, there’s still gonna be a few enemies that break the balance.
If you do want a difficulty mod that adds more depth to the gameplay, try Monster_Modifiers. It makes it so that an enemy that spawns in with a star, gains a bonus effect, I.e. personal bubble, fire damage, stagger immunity. Each modifier will put a marker on the name of the monster, representing which modifier they have. You can reference the mod site for what each marker represents.

Azu extended inventory is better than equipment and quickslots, implementationwise.

@DDryTaste2025/08/16(土) 01:15
@@Sebatron121is there a reason you prefer one over the other? I'm always interested in that.

Thanks for sharing your insight! Azu’s mod definitely has its strengths, and it’s great to hear your thoughts on it.
