6:40 - farms...build up the ground around the farms and make a pen around that instead of digging down, unless they patched it, itll protect the spawner from any damage from the wolves too...at least it should. then you can have stone gates/metal gates which are more resistant to the damage they could possibly take. need a lot of stone though
regarding the blobby boy, you can dig under the unharvestable trees in the swamp and grab a ton of wood and make spiked walls and let him grind you...maybe even be able to clip through some campfires! he cant hit you with poison or anything :) afterwards dig out :)
