You get 0.05 xp per second while sneaking, an additinal +0.45 xp for a total of 0.5 xp per second when undetected within the view range of a creature.

Dude if you wanna level Blocking, find a Skeloton dungeon, preferably one with spawners. They stay right against you and attack consistantly. Also Parrying gives you more XP, I belive it's a 50% boost, casn't do it all the time, but every now and then.

Also, it's easy to level your blood magic (summoning) skill by hanging around spawners, so long as you're far enough away your skellys don't attack the spawner.

There is a much faster way... 1) Press F5. 2) type 'devcommands' 3) type 'raiseskill all 100' 4) Press F5 again.

Dig a pit under the spawner. The grey dwarves spawn below it.

For solo players after defeating Eikthyr, simply dig a hole with your pick axe, find a bunch of Neck and use your shield to punt them in the hole or push them in. "10 or so will work great" you can do this with tier one armor and tier one shield np, get your shield to lvl 20 in less than 10 minutes. after getting the Neck in the hole eat some honey/raspberries and jump in with them. just stand their like you would with a friend and take the hits. Neck hit faster than most enemies and as stated in the videos levels are based on how many hits your taking at least as of now "It should be how much force you are blocking". you will need to put up a work bench so they will not disappear when the games does a cleanup. anything in the bench radius stays until the bench is destroyed. skeleton raids will kill them as will bat raids since both those enemies attack anything. hope that helps.

My group game has three skill boosters; one for melee, one for bows and one for blocking.
The melee one is in the swamp and consists of a raised earth wall around two body piles (spawning draugr). There is a building with portal and comfort. Eat good food, equip good armor and shield and the weapon type you want and start slaughtering. Be careful not to destroy the body piles. There is some risk, so you have to watch your hp and stamina and escape when necessary.
The bow trainer is also in swamp. Build a raised earth platform near a Bonemass altar and put a small building with workbench, portal and some comfort. Summon Bonemass and start shooting him with a crude bow and plain wood arrows. Don't kill him or you'll have to summon him again. 1000 or so arrows later, your bow skill should be 75+. Since he can't hurt you on the earth platform, the risk is low.
The blocking one is the hardest to build unless you use devcommands. Dig a pit around 14m x 8m x 5m deep. Install stone floor with walls on 3 sides. Put stone stairs with flat side facing main part of pit on fourth side, leaving a 2m space for player use. Roof over with stone floor, leaving one stone out. Build a stone stair down to player area from grade. Go find skeleton archers, get them to chase you to this, then kick them so they fall through the hole in the roof. Repeat as desired. Put on root chest and best shield and walk down the access stair. Take arrow fire. Retreat before shield fails. Repeat until blocking is where you want it. (I am sure our group's builder used devcommands because there must be 50 skeletons in there.)

That blocking trainer sounds like really good XP! Also sounds like a crazy build. Also agree that dev commands were likely used based on the number of skeletons you described.

A great place to level your blocking is burial chambers. Collect the amount of skeletons you can handle in a space they can wail on you and keep blocking, the bone tower shield is already pretty good for it. If the chamber has a skeleton spawner inside, all the better. You can have a little base outside for resting too.

I got to say that using lowest weapon in any category cost less stamina, according to the Valheim Wiki. Nice video and good idea to raise the melee skill: i suppose that if i play solo, i could make a similar area and invite my monsters over with a little more planning! XD
