Unfortunately never played this game, but from the beginning it was great to witness the constant enhancements it has received from the developers, you can actually follow one of the main developer's YT channel with various devlogs & update videos. To me, the concept of the game was never considered mediocre 🙌

This game very well could have been the next minecraft. With the sales they got, they could have hired even just a few more people and kept updates coming.
They chose the money though, and years went by before a significant update came. Mistlands came and it was good, but by the time it came the hype had died, and it came and went with little fanfare, and who knows how long it'll be before another significant update comes?

It's a beautiful game but to me it was way too grindy way too fast. It is truly beautiful though.

You did damn well to set Valheim into a wonderful picture:)
Next to all told stuff, Valheim catches me finaly with the simple fact of the smoke mechnaics. So you have build chimneys or something like that :D
And as far as i know its the first survival game which can kill you with fallen trees while chopping :3

One of the most overlooked similarities between Minecraft and Valheim is the gear focused progression rather then levels, which made it along with The Forest one of the few functional coop games.

Hey, you should check out the Game Pax Augusta. Recently discovered it yesterday. Roman city builder looks really interesting, one man team, and seems to have next to no attention to it right now.
Makes me kinda sad that it seems so unknown cause the developer looks like he’s putting a lot of passion into it.

If it ever does. The game came out and years went by as only tiny updates were added. It took years for mistlands to release, even though the entire rest of the game was made within a similar timeframe. They've got their money, and so they have no incentive to really work on the game.

My one issue with the game that I have is the Bronze age I feel needs entirely reworked. You'll spend, hours, or even days getting through the Bronze age and then the Iron age comes at you and you blink and you're through it.
Other than that I think it's a very good game.

it's a game I have to stop myself from playing or I would not be able to put it down because once I am playing at night I am up all night playing it and building and farming and fighting

dude the game is not even fully out yet. Its still a failed demo :D I hope it comes out full version though. At this point a bit doubtful
